Finn stormed through the halls of the Preeminence, his mind whirling with frustration. Rey was probably in trouble and he could do nothing about it. It was sickening. For too long he had sat on the sidelines letting others dictate his every move and eventually he decided to fight back. He expected the Resistance to be different but turns out they were just like the First Order; controlling.
He turned a corner and found BB-8 rolling toward him. BB-8 whistled a greeting. Finn sidestepped him.
“Don’t you have something better to do?” Finn asked, continuing to walk.
BB-8 followed him, beeping a reply. Finn sighed with exasperation.
“I don’t know what you’re saying BB-8,” he said.
He rounded another corner where he found a stairwell leading into the depths of the cruiser. He was just about to head down the stairs when BB-8 whistled at him, prodding his leg. Finn whirled.
“BB-8, will you leave me alone?!”
BB-8 beeped loudly, rolling back and forth agitatedly. Finn sighed.
“I don’t know what you’re saying.”
BB-8’s single black eye looked at his surroundings before rolling into the stairway. Finn watched the droid, his eyebrows furrowed with confusion. The droid looked back at him, gesturing his head as if urging Finn to follow.
