Oh My Goodness, ‘Star Wars: Resistance’ Is Getting Good!

Star Wars: Resistance continues its upward trend in quality with a brand new episode called The Disappearance. Here is the episode’s synopsis.

Kaz and Torra investigate the disappearance of a friend.

Seriously, this series is really beginning to get good. It was boring for a very long while but now I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next week.

Fist Order propaganda at Aunt Z's in Star Wars Resistance.

One of my favorite elements of the episode was Aunt Z, owner of the tavern located on The Colossus. The First Order’s presence on the Colossus is stifling and while those who are happy for their “protection” like Tam there are those who are not. Aunt Z is one of those unsatisfied patrons of the station.

I love her independence in this episode. In fact, she very much reminded me of Leia as she defied the First Order time and time again. It wasn’t until this episode that she has really been able to shine and I loved it.

All in all, this episode was fascinating from beginning to end and a must-watch because of the ending. I’ll give this episode 95 out of 100 and 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day. May the Force be with you.

The Shocking Surprises and Inspiring Triumphs of ‘The Oscars’

Woo, The Oscars, wow. Last night was special for many reasons. There was history made, riveting, tear-inducing speeches, and there were a lot of surprises. When I finally went to bed I was thrilled with the evening’s turn of events. Every winner I felt deserved it to some degree and the joy that was so palpable for so many winners was infectious. So, on that note, let’s get to some of the most exhilarating moments of the evening.

History Is Made

It’s Black History Month and so these next two award winners I’m about to speak of is so fitting for the importance of this month. Ruth E. Carter was the first black woman to win an Oscar for Best Costume Design for critically-acclaimed Black Panther and she TOTALLY deserved it. The academy could’ve easily given the award to The Favourite for its elaborate 18th-century designs but we’ve already seen that before. We’ve never seen anything like Black Panther before and I’m just SO happy. And yeah, I’m liking your vibranium necklace ma’am. 🙂
