One week everybody! Yes, one week. Ha-ha! Awesome. Finally, in a week’s time, I will have learned just what the fuss is all about when it comes to Captain Marvel’s supposedly incredible powers. The very thought is exhilarating. 🙂
Picture of the Day:
From the first time I saw this mesmerizing shot to the most recent viewing of it, which would be today, I have been enthralled by how beautiful it looks. Carol Danvers isn’t just an amazing superhero but she’s also a phenomenal pilot and this picture highlights that abundantly. I can’t wait to see this shot in context with the movie.
Poster of the Day:
Captain Marvel looks fantastic in this powerfully vibrant poster.
Character of the Day: Agent Phil Coulson
Agent Phil Coulson has a subtle but prominent presence in the early phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but he’s been absent in the MCU since The Avengers which makes his role in Captain Marvel so exciting. While I’m sure his role will be minor, as always, I’m hoping to see him interact with Carol. That would be so amazing!
With One Week Left, What Am I Most Excited For?
The Skrulls are supposed to be a major antagonist in the Marvel comics. They are merciless, evil villains with brilliant plans of world domination. I’m excited to see if this movie introduces them solely for the purpose of Captain Marvel or whether this film is just a step into a larger story involving the shapeshifting aliens. Very exciting!
I thank you for reading and I hope you have an amazing day.
Luke Skywalker walked to the cave where he had taken Rey over a week ago, the powerful gusts of wind blowing his hair and cloak about him. He hadn’t come here since the first week he had arrived on this island. It was then that he met Ushani, the woman who resided in the very stone of the island. She had welcomed him to Ahch-To and assured him that his motives were just.
Now, years later, he wanted to see her again because he was afraid. Afraid of the monster he may have, once again, helped to create.
When Rey had begun her meditation he could feel the joy radiating from her as she began to understand the power of the Force. And then everything changed. Her thoughts turned dark and her strength with the Force spiked considerably. It was at that moment that he began to fear her.
He knew what happened to young individuals filled with untameable power. Just look what happened to Ben Solo. Now it was happening to Rey.
That’s why Luke found himself before the cave even though he thought he would never have to return here. With a deep breath, he walked into the cave.
Throwback Friday is a fun segment for me because I get the chance to revisit posts that I have forgotten that I loved writing very much. This is one of those posts. I wrote this post last year on March 5 and, so, it’s only fitting that I resurface it for today’s segment of Throwback Friday. I hope you enjoy. 🙂
I was riding around yesterday enjoying a gloriously peaceful Sunday morning with my family when my mother happened to spot this jaw-dropping, ginormous mural of Yoda just sitting on the side of a building. There was no way we weren’t going to stop and take a picture.
I mean look at the sheer size of this mural. It’s profoundly stunning. This was literally made early last year as you can see from the date on the brick (5/4/17) and I can honestly tell you I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. Not only is Yoda humongous but he’s so perfectly drawn and detailed as well. And the way Yoda is sprouting from the flames is utterly perfect (to me the meaning of Yoda in the fire represents him coming back from the ashes of death to grace this wall.) At the time this mural was made I’m sure the painter had no idea that Yoda would really return in The Last Jedi? The force was strong with whoever painted this fantastic piece of art. Awesome.
I love Star Wars and everything Star Wars and to find this breathtaking mural was the perfect beginning to my morning yesterday. I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day. May the Force Be With You.
