Ranking 50 of the Top 250 Movies on IMDb: Part 2

Yesterday in the first part of this series I wrote which movies I listed from #50 to #40. Today I’m listing the next ten films in this series. Enjoy!

39. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi

While the original Star Wars trilogy can easily be stated as one of the best movie trilogies of all time Return of the Jedi just isn’t my cup of tea. I mean, I love it. Don’t get me wrong. And I can honestly say I’ve seen this film over twenty-five times, but it is a tad bit boring. (And I’m not an Ewok fan.)

38. Toy Story

Toy Story is as unique as animated films get and while I’ve only seen it about two times I have fallen in love with this movie. It’s so much fun and has so many humorous elements because at the end of the day these are toys and it’s hilarious. I absolutely can’t wait to see what new adventures Toy Story 4 can bring us.

I. Am. Shaking. The Official ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Trailer Is Here

Captain Marvel came out last week and I knew it was only a matter of time before we would see marketing for Avengers: Endgame begin to ramp up. Well, this morning, Marvel Studios finally released an official trailer for Endgame and I am losing my mind. Here it is.

I’m trying not to cry whenever I see this trailer. What manages to always get to my emotions is the first section of the trailer that shows Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor’s evolution from their respective first films to their story now. These characters have come so far and honestly, it’s emotional seeing these characters in this tragic state.

But there’s also something so rewarding about this trailer as well.

Yes, these heroes have faced tragedy and have been inflicted a terrible defeat at the hands (or gauntlet) of Thanos but as all heroes do they won’t quit. They will avenge the galaxy and when Thanos sees them again he will meet face a force unlike any he’s met before. That’s enough to make anyone pump their fist in the air with excitement for The Avengers.

My Version of The Last Jedi: Chapter Forty-Two

The Knights of Ren

Kylo Ren was experiencing an emotional roller coaster within himself. The last time he had been in this cockpit had been just minutes before he killed his father on Starkiller base. His father who he had shared so many cherishable moments with inside this very room.

Piloting the Falcon brought such a wave of nostalgia over him that he almost felt sick in the stomach…but he knew only he could be the one to lead Rey and Luke Skywalker to the planet where Snoke resided, for it was hidden within a dense asteroid field that only a few trusted operatives of Snoke knew how to navigate.

And that’s what he did. Through the asteroid field, they flew until they reached the dark planet that was Snoke’s homeworld; Laa’dar. Rey stood, holding the back of his seat as she gazed out of the window at the foreign world.

“This place doesn’t feel right,” she said.

“I feel it too,” Luke seconded. “There’s unnatural tampering with the Force here.”

Kylo nodded. “Supreme Leader Snoke has always managed to install fear in his followers with his immense power. I think it’s part of the reason why he never leaves this planet. His greatest strength is harbored here.”

Rey pointed as they angled toward a landing pad at the edge of the city. Six individuals cloaked in black robes and hoods stood waiting on the landing pad. Kylo’s jaw clenched.

“Are those allies?” she asked.

Kylo shook his head. “Snoke knows of my betrayal and has turned my fellow Knights against me.”

Just as he said that the Knights raised their hands, pulling the Millennium Falcon in a plummet to the landing pad.
