The Battle Begins
Captain Phasma entered the hangar of the Finalizer, gazing fondly at the transports as they left the destroyer for the planet’s surface. She would board one of these transports and when it landed the Resistance would feel her wrath.
Alarms blared and chaos ensued as Finn ran through the city, a blaster in his hand and his gaze scanning the crowd. Where was Rose? He hadn’t seen her since they went to talk strategy with Leia in preparation for the First Order’s assault.
He heard an explosion and when he looked upward he saw a TIE fighter plummeting to the city in his direction. He gasped. He was just about to run as fast as he could away from the area when someone grabbed his hand and pulled him in the opposite direction.
He looked to see who was holding his hand and found that it was Rose.
“Rose?” he said.
They were knocked to the ground as the TIE fighter crashed in an explosion behind them.

Last year the Marvel community was shocked when unearthed tweets from James Gunn’s Twitter account were revealed and they weren’t pretty. It was so bad in fact that there was a massive outcry about the horrible tweets and Disney had to fire James Gunn.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was supposed to come out in 2020 but with filming postponed indefinitely it began to look like we might not get a third movie for this franchise.
Well, it’s just been announced that James Gunn has officially been reassigned to write and direct the movie and I am ecstatic.
Yes, James Gunn has made some mistakes on his Twitter (in the past) but he deserves to finish this story. He created these characters, he made us fall in love with these characters, and he had a vision for what the Cosmic approach to the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be.
This is great news and I can’t wait to see what new characters and ideas Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will bring to this incredible superhero franchise.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.
I love watching and ranking movies so imagine my elation when I learned that I had seen 50 of the Top 250 films on IMDb. Of course, there were some films that I clearly liked more than others and so I definitely wanted to present my own ranking of these films. Today, on the third part of this ranking, I will countdown the next set of movies to my twentieth favorite film of this list. Enjoy!
29. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Return of the King was the film in The Lord of the Rings trilogy that won an Oscar for Best Picture, plus ten more Oscars, and while it is ranked seventh on IMDb it’s not my favorite film. Yes, it is an amazing movie that is a resounding conclusion to a very well-made story but I feel the next twenty-eight films on this list are better. But this movie is very, very good.
28. The Silence of the Lambs
I’ve only seen The Silence of the Lambs once but I was expectedly riveted when I watched it. It won five Oscars, including one for Best Picture and it totally deserved that win. This film is unlike any that you’ve seen before and one day I will have to watch it again to refresh my memory of this incredible film.

With Captain Marvel coming out today Phase 4 of the MCU is drawing closer and closer. So for this week’s Throwback Friday I’m listing twelve characters that would be fantastic in upcoming Marvel movies. Enjoy!
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been around for ten years and it doesn’t look like the franchise is coming to an end anytime soon. With Avengers: Endgame about to bring a conclusion to a 22-movie storyline, a new journey is going to begin and that means new heroes will have to arrive to save the day. But who will those new heroes be? I’m not going to pretend that I’m an expert on Marvel characters (I am not) but I have done some research and discovered some very cool characters that could be central pieces to this evolving story. So, here are the characters I would love to see debut in the upcoming Phase 4 of the MCU.
1. Hawkeye (Kate Bishop)
The older Avengers’ reign is coming to an end (quickly) and that means we need new heroes to take their place. With Spider-Man’s debut in Captain America: Civil War the idea of the Young Avengers coming to fruition could easily become something very special and Kate Bishop/Hawkeye is a perfect candidate for that youthful organization.
It’s also perfect because her storyline is simple. She grew up idolizing Hawkeye (he was her favorite Avenger) and decided when she got old enough to follow his footsteps as a bow-wielding superhero. Sounds great if you ask me.
