A Six-Year Poster Evolution: Happy Hogan

Woah, I just went searching for character posters throughout the Iron Man films and Spider-Man: Homecoming for Happy Hogan. He hasn’t had any. That makes the simple fact that he was afforded a character poster for Avengers: Endgame that much more special.

And he deserves one.

Avengers: Endgame

Happy Hogan has been in the MCU since the beginning. He has helped Tony Stark on many saving-the-world occasions and he has ever been involved with Spider-Man’s evolution into an Avenger.

Who knows how large his role will be in Endgame but it is exciting to see that he has been given a poster for the film.

Tomorrow the next character I will highlight for this series will be Doctor Strange.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.

Angelina Jolie Is Joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe

If you didn’t know this let me give you a quick update on the MCU. After Avengers: Endgame there have already been rumblings of many changes to the franchise and many more stories to look forward to. We know of the obvious films after Endgame like Spider-Man: Far from Home, the Black Widow movie, Doctor Strange 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and a Black Panther sequel but there are two other films in the works beneath our noses that will be here sooner rather than later.

Marvel is looking to make a film starring an Asian superhero named Shang-Chi whose superpower is his skill with kung fu. It will be written and directed by Asian and Asian-Americans, following the success of Black Panther and its attention to allowing African-Americans to tell these African and African-Americans’ stories. It will be yet another cultural milestone for Marvel and I can’t wait to see this movie.

But there is another film in the works. One that will feature a story set a million years before The Avengers was even a thought. It will highlight The Eternals, a race of superhumans who were created by the Celestials.

Is ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ a Worthy Sequel?

If you have been following my blog recently you will remember my review of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them last month. In short; I loved the first film in this new franchise which sheds even greater light on the Wizarding World. I loved the characters and their stories and overall it’s a fun film to watch.

I couldn’t wait to continue watching this story evolve with the sequel and yesterday I finally got the chance to see it. Hence, this review.

That leads me to the question of this post; Is Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald a Worthy Sequel? Yes…and no. There are pros and cons to this story. On one side I loved it and then on the other side I’m totally disinterested. So, on that note, let me share with you the pros and cons of The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Be warned! This review will contain MAJOR spoilers. Thank you for heeding this warning.

A Six-Year Poster Evolution: Mantis

Oh my goodness, I love Mantis. I wasn’t even very fond of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and yet I absolutely loved her character. Her sweet disposition is infectious, her naivety is refreshing, and her skill set is actually pretty cool. Yes, she may have perished (😭) but her story will…continue? *shrug*

The fact that she was given a poster for Avengers: Endgame gives me hope that she will return from the dead to help her friends fight Thanos and that is an exciting prospect. So, in preparation for Endgame, let’s look at her posters and how they have changed over the years.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

The posters for the Guardians of the Galaxy films are clearly unique and so it’s no doubt that this poster is pretty cool. The green and yellow is a beautiful color to pair with her too.

Avengers: Infinity War

Mantis is such a fascinating character and her sweetness is very apparent on this poster. Her expression isn’t sad or determined, just Mantis-ly placid. The purple glow looks good on her.

Avengers: Endgame

Mantis was the first on Titan to turn into dust; hence the black-and-white poster. It’s so sad. Geez.

So, these are her posters over the last two years. They’re simple but highlight her lovable personality in subtle ways.

Tomorrow the next character will be Happy Hogan. I am very interested in seeing if he even has any other posters. Lol.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day.

A Six-Year Poster Evolution: Hawkeye

Avengers: Endgame is coming out in less than a month (YAY!!!!) and as you can see I am clearly excited for this movie. One of the most fun things about preparing for a movie is to see the film’s various posters and Marvel is fantastic at delivering fantastic posters worth getting excited about.

With this being the finale to the Infinity Saga so much is at stake and the story is set to drop some legitimate bombshell moments that we won’t see coming because so much secrecy is being kept around this movie. But, the countdown has begun and what’s not a better way to celebrate these last few weeks until the main event than by looking back at the evolution of the characters’ posters for The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy films?

Today I’m highlighting Hawkeye, the character that I’m actually most excited to see in Avengers: Endgame. Enjoy!

The Avengers

The Avengers wasn’t Hawkeye’s debut (he first made an appearance in Thor) but it was the first time he got to play a starring role in the MCU. While he was clearly awesome because of his remarkable skill with a bow and some arrows he didn’t have much of a storyline, making him one of the least interesting Avengers.

His poster, however, is pretty darn cool. See the S.H.I.E.L.D logo on his vest? It shows how far this story has come, for S.H.I.E.L.D doesn’t even exist anymore. Wow. And he wears the cool right arm wrap in this film making him look undeniably awesome.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

When Hawkeye returned in The Avengers sequel he had more of a story to latch onto. We learned he had a family who was being kept far away from the prying eyes of anyone who may want to hurt them. And we learned that he’s the defacto leader of The Avengers; keeping every hero in check when they need stabilizing, hence acting as the main sense of cohesion between the team.

In this poster, the S.H.I.E.L.D logo is gone, the right arm wrap is history and his clothes now contain a sort of maroon color to them now along with the simple black, giving his outfit a little more appeal.

Avengers: Endgame

And there’s finally his poster for the latest Avengers film, Avengers: Endgame. He didn’t have for Infinity War because he was MIA but he has one for this movie and I am so excited.

Just looking at this poster compared to the last two it’s very obvious that Clint Barton has been through some things while he’s been away. His hair is different and more rock-and-roll looking (which I really like), his expression is tense, angry, sad, and determined all in one simple look, and it’s clear from the slight bit of clothing we see in the poster that he’s coming back not as a simple spy but as a warrior.

😁😁😁😁

So, these are Hawkeye’s posters from The Avengers to Avengers: Endgame. Tomorrow I will focus on one of the deceased heroes; Mantis.

Until then I thank you for reading and I hope you have a magnificent day.

Mark Hamill May Grace His Presence on ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’

Since Luke Skywalker’s surprise death in The Last Jedi Mark Hamill has been very vocal about his disagreement with the treatment of Luke Skywalker in the critically-acclaimed sequel to The Force Awakens. And while he will make one final appearance as the fabled Luke Skywalker in the still untitled Episode IX his time as the character has pretty much come to a close. But it seems that Disney’s time with Mr. Hamill may not be over yet.

Recently on the entertainment airways rumors have begun to spread that Mark Hamill may be playing Rocket’s creator in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Yeah, you heard correctly.

That weird mystery person who Rocket mentioned in the first Guardians of the Galaxy that created him may make an appearance in the third GOTG (Guardians of the Galaxy) film and that individual could be portrayed by one of the coolest actors in the world; Mark Hamill. Brilliant!
