A Six-Year Poster Evolution: Shuri

Until recently I haven’t been a Marvel fanatic. I don’t know any of the heroes’ comic books and the storylines within those comics. And I definitely don’t know much about the characters except for the ones onscreen.

When Black Panther arrived in the MCU I honestly didn’t know anything about him. In fact, I was blown away when I learned that not only is Black Panther a black superhero but the simple fact that he is also an African king. WHAT?! Whoa.

I was super excited to learn more about this character and the world he evolved from. Hence, Black Panther. When I learned King T’Challa had a sister who was a scientific genius I was already ecstatic but actually being able to see her in the film was lightyears better.

It wasn’t long before I was a fan of the teenage wonder and I’m truly hoping she has a lot more involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe beyond Avenger: Endgame.

Shuri also happens to have some really cool posters so, let’s look at them, shall we.

Black Panther

I did a post a while back for the Black Panther character posters but it’s been over a year since I wrote that post and honestly, I forgot about the amazing character posters for the film. Shuri looks AWESOME on this poster.

The Black Panther gauntlets are so cool looking, especially with the glowing yellow eyes. And the face paint really stands out on this poster, making her look like the most epic princess ever created.

I love Shuri. 🙂

Avengers: Infinity War

While Shuri didn’t actually wear this getup in the actual movie she did play a pretty awesome role in the film. And I just have to say, her gauntlets are so cool. Can I have some? 😁

Avengers: Endgame

What I love about this poster is the close-up look at the turtleneck. How it fits on her chin and has the little teeth thingies is so cool looking. Oh my goodness, I’m totally gushing over Shuri right now.

Honestly, I can’t wait to see her again in Avengers: Endgame and beyond. She’s such a great character.

So, yeah, these three posters are pretty awesome. The character I will feature tomorrow will be Bruce Banner/The Hulk. That should definitely be fun. 🙂

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.

  1. Great job comparing Shuri’s posters within the MCU! I think it’s such a great idea how you’re observing the evolution of the MCU’s characters through their character posters! I just created a list of my favorite character posters for Avengers: Endgame and, spoiler alert, Shuri’s poster placed in the Top 5! Here the link if you want to check it out:
