A Six-Year Poster Evolution: Drax

For a long time, I didn’t really like Drax. He was a bit…odd. I liked him in Guardians of the Galaxy for his literal personality (which is hilarious) but when he returned in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 the script turned him into an unlikable joke. I didn’t know how I was going to react to him in Avengers: Infinity War but it was soon obvious that he would be a hilarious addition to the film. Since Infinity War I have truly begun to like the character and now, as I look at these posters, I’m kind of very impressed. So, on that note, let’s give them a closer look, shall we?

Guardians of the Galaxy

Because Drax was shed in a more serious light in the first Guardians movie this poster makes him slightly mysterious, which is really cool. And I love his daggers. They are beautiful.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Drax returns in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel showing off his sweet, sweet weapons. I’m loving the purple too.

Avengers: Infinity War

The serious expression, the battle ready stance, Drax is prepared to face the man he has been longing to reach to avenge the deaths of his family. Unfortunately, he would be stopped short of his goal. Cut to the next poster.

Avengers: Endgame

Dead. 💀

Lol!

So, these are all four of Drax’s character posters. While they don’t represent much evolution for the character they are all rather fascinating in their individual styles.

Tomorrow the character I am featuring will be War Machine. Ooh, I’m excited! 🙂

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
