Ever since I watched Black Panther for the first time I have been an Okoye fan. From the moment she threw off her wig to her speaking Wakandan in front of confused American agent, Everett Ross I have loved her character SO much. And she has one of the most beautiful outfits of any of the heroines with her Wakandan armor, jewelry, and clothes. And not only is she a powerful warrior but she’s a general as well, making her even more awesome.
She, thankfully, was one of the few heroes who were not a victim to The Snap, meaning we will get to see more with her in Endgame and I am excited. But before that, we have to to take a look at her posters. Enjoy!
With her bowed and her stance representing that of a warrior, General Okoye oozes strength on this poster. In a way, this poster highlights the conflict in her nation by her solemn stance but there is also resolve to her as well. She knows that she will fight for her country and her king to the very end, no matter who may sit upon it, but she will face a choice. Fight with blind loyalty to a tyrannic king (Erik Killmonger) or fight for what she believes in, the wellbeing of her country, Wakanda. She would choose the latter.
And by the way, I love her armor so much. The shoulder pads, the bracers, the golden necklace, everything about Okoye’s outfit is amazing.

Last Friday Star Wars fans were finally provided with a tantalizing teaser for Episode IX where we not only got to see our favorite heroes and villains again but also were introduced to the name of this Skywalker saga finale, The Rise of Skywalker. The title was met with mixed thoughts. Some loved it and immediately began to theorize about what the name could mean, while there were those who didn’t like it and thought it was just a straight up stupid name. For me, I found myself in the middle of both realms. On one hand, I like the title and then, on the other hand, I find myself confused by the title’s pronunciation, for it doesn’t flow off the tongue as easily as some of the other Star Wars titles.
But last night, after watching The Last Jedi, I realized that there may be way more meaning to this name than first conceived. There are plenty of theories out there in the world about the title and what it could mean for the movie. One of the theories is that “Skywalker” is a new term for the supposed Jedi. While that may seem silly (and clearly not right) I think these theorists may be closer to the answer behind the meaning of this title than they think and I think I may have solved at least a portion of the title’s meaning. So, on that note, here’s a deeper analysis into the title: The Rise of Skywalker.
(The words in bold are to emphasize certain points in the post.)

Star-Lord, the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy seems like a rascally scoundrel with a bombastic attitude at first meeting but there’s a lot more emotional depth to him than meets the eye. Having only one parent to provide for him as a child made losing his beloved mother as a child all the more heartbreaking. He never wanted to show weakness or emotion due to Yondu’s reckless upbringing so he hid all of his sadder emotions behind a careless facade whose main goal was getting rich and finding chicks.
Star-Lord’s kinder side, however, would lead him to becoming a galactic hero and definitely one of my favorite characters in the MCU. Here are his character posters. Enjoy!
Guardians of the Galaxy
With Guardians of the Galaxy being Star-Lord’s debut this poster had to show him in a very heroic light and as the clear leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy so it’s no surprise that this poster looks so awesome. With his blasters in hand and the serious expression on his face Star-Lord looks like a hero fighting alongside to save the galaxy.

A Surprise Gift
Nighttime had arrived on Maris Sutorn, casting the planet in an otherworldly grandeur, for most of the plants inhabiting the planet glowed in the dark. While the Maris Sutornians were able to enjoy the luminescent plant life through the various cities and villages located on the planet the rebels hidden away in the Stache were sleeping restfully in preparation for the next day.
There were a few members of the secret rebellion who weren’t able to get any sleep. One of those rebels being Finn. He found himself wandering through the halls of the secret base just to pass time. The pressures of the rebellion he was expected to lead tomorrow were getting to him and he was honestly worried.
What if he failed? What if Rey was right? What if his ambitions were too great? Would he, this time tomorrow be locked away in preparation for his return to the First Order? Or worse; would he be dead by tomorrow night?
All of these worrying thoughts continued circulating through his mind, causing him to pace back and forth through the halls of the base.
He eventually stopped, placing his hand into his pocket where he pulled out a ring. It wasn’t anything special. Just a simple wooden band engraved with Aurebesh that translated into the words: Friendship.
