A Six-Year Poster Evolution: Thor

The mighty Asgardian God of Thunder, Thor has had an amazing journey so far. He lost his power after his father Odin exiled him to Earth to get a hard lesson. That is where he met Jane Foster, a scientist who helped show him that there was more to life than just fighting. He would go on to become a more benevolent hero, joining The Avengers to stop his brother Loki from conquering Earth, saving Earth from the hungry appetite of the Dark Elf, Malekith, saving Earth yet again with The Avengers to halt Ultron’s plan of earthly extinction, fulfilling the Ragnarok prophecy to save his people and defeat his evil sister Hela, and finally, facing Thanos. That is where his winning streak came to a skidding end, leaving Thor utterly stunned by the extent of his failure.

Will Thor be able to finally avenge Loki, Heimdall, the dead Asgardians, and all of the poor victims of The Snap? Only time will tell. Until then, let’s take a look at his fascinating character posters. Enjoy!

The Avengers

Thor looks undeniably heroic but the armor and outfit definitely needed some upgrading. What I do love, however, is the sleeves of the armor and the bracers. Very, very beautiful looking.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

On this poster, Thor clearly has had an upgrade in the wig department and the armor looks much better too. His expression also isn’t as fierce as it was in the previous poster, showing that the anger issues that he had as a younger warrior have faded into memory.

Avengers: Infinity War

Um…okay. Wow. Thor looks amazing! on this poster. The armor is so much grander looking than both the previous Avengers films, the cape flowing behind him is stunning, he now sports an eye patch like his father, Odin, the short hair looks fantastic and way better than the Goldilocks look, and he just looks great.

Fantastic poster!

Avengers: Endgame

This poster is very simple as one might expect but what I love the most about it is that it highlights yet another fascinating upgrade for the Asgardian hero. Now the eye patch is gone and he now has two differently colored eyes. So cool!

And his expression, ooh, he looks like he’s ready to fight Thanos again. That’s an exciting prospect in itself.

Next, today is Scarlet Witch. This should be fun.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day.
