Last month during San Diego Comic-Con we got our first official look at the cast who would be bringing The Eternals to life in the highly-anticipated dive into more cosmic weirdness next November in the form of the film, Eternals. With A-list stars like Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, and Kumail Nanjiani one can only get excited about what to expect.
Yesterday concept artist Rodney Fuentebella revealed concept art featuring the Celestials, who in turn created The Eternals and, if I’m not mistaken, the Infinity Stones, and it is some freaky looking stuff. Check it out.
Our first delve into the cosmic universe was via Guardians of the Galaxy and while that was fun and energetic this is just straight down odd. Eternals is going to be unlike any other superhero film brought to the big screen and I am both excited and totally weirded out at the same time.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a phenomenal day.
The long-awaited Black Widow movie is currently filming and rumors are circulating that Disney is considering making this film the first R-rated entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
While this may seem a bit shocking to most I’m actually not surprised. The Black Widow movie is supposed to be a prequel that will surely highlight Natasha’s role as an agent for the KGB before she joined S.H.I.E.L.D and, considering the brief flashes of information regarding her past, it’s very dark. Natasha has tried and succeeded in leaving the atrocities of her past behind but if we are to fully understand that darker section of her life the movie should be rated R so nothing can be held back.
Of course, we have grown used to the MCU providing family-friendly content and it definitely seems jarring to think that there would finally be a film that’s catered to adult audiences only but it makes all the sense in the world. Natasha’s past is dark. The writers shouldn’t water down what could be a truly incredible story of redemption for one of the world’s most feared and ruthless assassins to appease children.
Now, do I want the Black Widow movie to be rated R? Um, I love that this franchise has kept everything PG-13 up to this point but if it’ll help Black Widow’s movie be as great as it can be then I’ll gladly accept the R-rating. Besides, Black Widow’s story in the comics has never been catered to children anyway so…
I thank you for reading and I hope you have an amazing day.
For all of you fellow Star Wars fans, I have some VERY exciting news to share with you all. Yesterday the rumors began to mill about that Ewan Mcgregor had signed on to return as the beloved Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi for a Disney+ series.
There have been rumors before that he would return to the Star Wars universe but I think it’s real this time, with big-name entertainment sites like Deadline and The Guardian even getting in on the news. So yeah, it’s an unofficial official announcement.
It’s suspected that we will hear the announcement next week during the D23 Expo.
How do you feel about this news? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day. May the Force be with you, always.
Qi’ra’s hands were shaking as she stared at the blue streaks of hyperspace racing by. She gripped the windowsill, urging her hands to stop trembling as she bowed her head. She almost felt queasy. Like she was going to be sick. She couldn’t understand why she was feeling this way. Continue reading QI’RA: Chapter One
