I’m Sorry To Say It But I’m Not Excited for ‘Wonder Woman 1984’

Two years ago I couldn’t wait to see Wonder Woman. It was the first time a female superhero from DC Comics was being featured in a standalone film and after Gal Gadot stole the show in Batman vs. Superman I just knew it was going to be awesome. Wonder Woman was disappointing, to say the least, and its sequel doesn’t seem to be doing too well either. It was supposed to come out in June but was pushed until next June, which was a bit of a bummer.

Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor is coming back, which doesn’t make sense considering that he died.

And the movie is set in the 80s’ which means we’ll get cheesy 80s’ references, famous 80s’ songs, and who knows what other 80s’ nonsense that’ll distract from the movie just being a good Wonder Woman movie.

Honestly, I wish I could say I’m buzzing with excitement to see this film but honestly, I’m not. Yeah, I’m eager to see the teaser, whenever that’ll be. (Rumors are saying it’ll arrive in December alongside The Rise of Skywalker.) Yeah, I’m definitely going to go see it next year because why not? But I’m nowhere near as interested in the film as Black Widow, unfortunately.

Missed seeing the first official poster? Here it is.

The only good thing about this poster is the new armor which I have to say, looks pretty awesome.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day.

  1. Hello Annlyel, yes I have to say the poster is somewhat….interesting! It reminds me of bad discotheque halls in the UK of the 80’s/90’s (these were sad OTT parodies of the 70’s). Unfortunately Gal looks lost in the middle of all that “noise”. Hopefully she won’t be as lost in the movie itself.
