If you’ve been following the story presented in the last two Jurassic World movies you will know that in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom the dinosaurs were released on US soil at the end of the film. While the movie wasn’t that great it presented a tantalizing conundrum for the characters in the story, as now humans will have to face meeting more than bears or wolves or mountain lions but actual dinosaurs as well. In this short film directed by Colin Trevorrow, this nightmarish reality is brought to life in a horrifying way that is hands down more riveting than all four Jurassic films after Jurassic Park. Check it out.
One of the reasons why I love the Jurassic franchise and keep coming back, regardless of how ridiculous the movies are sometimes, is because of that classic horror factor. I don’t know what it is about seeing a dinosaur about to eat somebody that I’ve grown to love so much but it is a winning formula that shouldn’t be tampered with. Star Wars villains always have some of the coolest designs. From Darth Maul and Asajj Ventress, to the brand new Second Sister Inquisitor and the Seventh Sister Inquisitor, and Darth Vader and the Death Troopers. Villains in this franchise are incredibly likable because they look so darn awesome and Kylo Ren is no exception.
Kylo Ren’s style based off of Darth Vader’s design with a few personal changes makes him one of the most stylish warriors in Star Wars. And that’s why, for today’s segment of What’s Your Favorite, he’s the topic of the hour. Enjoy!
The Darth Vader Ripoff Look
When Kylo Ren appeared in The Force Awakens it was very clear that the young Solo was trying to become the new Darth Vader. With the intimidating voice-warping mask the similarities between the two characters were blatant but that was where the similarities stopped.
Kylo Ren has his own style, which is very apparent in this picture. The short one-shouldered hooded cape, the thick belt, the long robe over the long-sleeved shirt and pants; Kylo’s style is elaborate (I guess those are Padme’s genes running through him) but in a muted way. You have to look really closely to appreciate all of the fine detail. Continue reading What’s Your Favorite Kylo Ren Look?
For The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, a second trailer was always released in October two months ahead of its release as pre-order tickets were made available to buy. Well, October is fast approaching and I’m predicting in exactly three weeks during Monday Night Football on October 7 we will get the highly-anticipated official trailer for The Rise of Skywalker.
It’ll be the Cleveland Browns vs. San Francisco 49ers and my heart will be in my stomach. Just the thought is giving me butterflies.
And in case you need to get even more pumped up, here’s another look at the teaser poster.
Do you feel also feel a tremor in the Force about the new The Rise of Skywalker trailer? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day. May the Force be with you, always.
As someone who isn’t very familiar with Batman villains beyond the ones in the films that I’ve seen it was fun to do some research and discover the characters that have been a real pain in the caped crusader’s butt.
The previous three posters for my upcoming fanfiction series The Dark Knight Lives have focused on two heroes and one villain; Robin, Nightwing, and Harley Quinn, all of which I can’t wait to introduce to you in my story. And now, the fourth poster focuses on a villainess that my sister and I are just learning about and we’re ultimately fascinated with named Poison Ivy. My sister was a little skeptical in bringing this character to life but once she got to work it was very clear that her vision would be outstanding, as always. Here’s the poster. Tremors in a Friendship
Qi’ra, as she had promised herself earlier that day, didn’t head straight to her room after leaving the bridge. Instead, she went to talk to Nienye who she noticed was behaving…strangely to say the least. He was always a quiet, calm person but he was never to standoffish as if he needed time to himself. It made her wonder if something was wrong.
When she reached his room she knocked on the door, half expecting it not to open. When it did slide open she found Nienye looking down at her. When he saw her there was a bit of surprise that was quickly replaced by his patented smile. Continue reading QI’RA: Chapter Twenty-Eight
