The Dark Knight Lives (THIRTY-FIVE)

The rest of the walk back to the apartment building was fraught with a tense silence. Katherine knew Marcon’s opinion of her had changed in the blink of an eye. She could sense it in his body behavior. In the way, he stopped talking to her and looking her in the eye.

When they reached their apartment building they made their way up the stairs until they were before the doors of their apartments.

“Thanks for the good time,” Katherine said.

Marcon seemed distracted as he opened the door to his apartment. “Y-yeah, your welcome.” Continue reading The Dark Knight Lives (THIRTY-FIVE)

Revisiting The Last Jedi Novel: Part 6

Yesterday’s three chapters were absolutely amazing. I found myself enjoying the chapters so much that honestly, having to wait until today to read the next three chapters has been agonizing. But, today has arrived and now it’s time to read Chapters 16 and 17. So much fun!IMG-2863

Chapter 16 delivers a detailed account of Finn and Rose’s arrival at Canto Bight and it. Is. Fascinating! Canto Bight is a beautiful place with beautiful people everywhere and it’s no surprise that Finn was so taken by the casino. It’s a lovely place.

Rose’s annoyance, however, is highlighted at full blast and it is so interesting. This is the striking difference between her story in the actual movie and the book. There’s even a moment when her annoyance at Finn’s caring for Rey is revisited and she challenges him by reminding him that when she returns she may not be the same person that she was when she left, considering that she’s going to learn the ways of the Jedi.

He doesn’t want to believe that Rey will be any different but we, of course, know that she will be a very changed person by the time of her return. As Rey grows more distant will he be able to help her or will she stray further into the ways of the Force (or the darkness??)

It feels like The Last Jedi novelization is setting that storyline up for The Rise of Skywalker, which is always exhilarating. Continue reading Revisiting The Last Jedi Novel: Part 6

This Moment from ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Trailer May Not Be What It Seems

The Rise of Skywalker trailer was not shy about showing Kylo Ren and Rey potentially teaming up again, including this picture shown here in the featured image. But, it may not mean what we first believed it to mean after all.

My sister, who has analyzed the trailer just as closely as me, has noticed that this shot shown above clearly shows Kylo Ren and Rey facing each other on the wreckage of the Death Star.

If you look closely, neither one of them is wet, and Rey’s lightsaber is ignited. Her stance seems like’s she’s alert while he is just standing there. A lot of people began to believe that this was a sign of the turning point between the characters’ despisal for one another but my sister is convinced that this is, in fact, a Force connection.

You see, their connection wasn’t fully severed at the end of The Last Jedi, proving that we could see more Force connections in The Rise of Skywalker, and my sister and I believe that this is one such moment.

It would make sense considering that, through the Force connection, he would learn of her location and they would end up fighting on the wreckage of the Death Star amidst the crashing waves.

Of course, this is just a theory but soon we will eventually discover if this theory is correct or not.

What do you think is happening between Kylo Ren and Rey in the throne room of the second Death Star? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day. May the Force be with you.

If Only She Could Tell the Truth: Part 17

Qi’ra hurried to the monitors to see where Han and Chewbacca was. To her dismay, they weren’t anywhere to be found.

Her heartbeat’s pace quickened as her eyes frantically searched the screens.

“Where are you?” Qi’ra whispered under her breath. “Where are you?”

She still couldn’t see them. Maybe her worst fears had come true. Maybe Han and Chewbacca’s ruse had been discovered and they had been killed before the mission could even begin. If Han was dead she would never be able to forgive herself for not telling him the truth. Continue reading If Only She Could Tell the Truth: Part 17
