QI’RA: A Rebel Rises: Opening Monologue

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…

It’s been six months after the destruction of the Death Star and pandemonium has struck The Empire at its core. The rebels are soaring after their second major win against the tyrannical regime while those in the criminal underworld are taking advantage of The Empire’s confusion.

Qi’ra, the leader of Crimson Dawn and an ally of the Empire, has been tasked with quelling rebellions throughout the galaxy. Meanwhile, Enfys Nest, an ally of the Rebellion, is trying to help maintain the rebels’ presence in the galaxy by delivering The Empire more losses.

Conflict is everywhere. Sides are chosen. Betrayals are made. And through it all, hope prevails…

Let’s Talk: The Mandalorian: Chapter 6

Chapter 6 of The Mandalorian has been heralded by some as the best episode in the series, or the best episode in weeks. For me, I found it to be my least favorite episode so far, which isn’t bad considering that this episode was pretty darn good. They weren’t supposed to be as cool as Cara Dune or as likable as Kuill. You want Mando to eventually defeat them. Continue reading Let’s Talk: The Mandalorian: Chapter 6

Episode X: The Reckoning: Chapter Twenty-One

Tucked away in a cave on the strange planet where Ben Solo and the teenagers had been stranded, he stayed awake, keeping watch over the children. The oldest one, Terra, had offered to help share the first watch with him but he told her he could handle things. She seemed relieved, for they were all a bit tired. And even though Ben Solo was just as exhausted as them he had gone many sleepless nights. And like tonight, those evenings he spent on some foreign world totally helpless and unable to see a way forward his thoughts drifted to Rey.

He wondered where she was. He wondered if she was thinking about him as he was thinking about her. Such history was built between them, some bad, but mostly good. Rey had saved him from the darkness. She had shown him what it meant to renounce the evil that had corrupted his heart. He probably wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for her.

The thought turned his eyes misty. Sitting back against the cave wall he sighed. What he wouldn’t give to feel her in his arms. Continue reading Episode X: The Reckoning: Chapter Twenty-One
