The Dark Knight Lives (THIRTY)

Katherine Kane was walking down an alley near a pier, her mask covering the bottom half of her face. She had obtained some rather interesting information from the rowdy bunch of drunken hooligans at The Steampot and was now following their lead.

Apparently, something big was happening tonight. A well-known crime boss by the name of Harley was conducting some illegal business down by the pier. Apparently, the deal the boss was conducting had something to do with The Flock; the masked goons known to be working for The Penguin. Continue reading The Dark Knight Lives (THIRTY)

‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ Arrives this August

One reason why Disney+ was such a highly-anticipated streaming service was because it would feature original series for both Marvel and Star Wars. When it was announced earlier this month that the WandaVision series would also happen to arrive later this year instead of next spring I couldn’t have been more ecstatic.

Now, it’s been recently announced that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series will arrive this August and I. Can’t. Wait! Both of these characters will face major revamps after the loss of Captain America, their mutual best friend.

Steve Rogers gave Sam Wilson the role as the new Captain America, a role that will be delved into during this series. And Bucky is now returning into the man that we knew him as before his fateful fall in The First Avenger. Gosh, I’m so ready to see a trailer for this show.

All in all, this series is coming quicker than I expected and that is a great announcement.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day.

‘Star Wars: Resistance’ Delivers a Surprising Beautiful Finale

It took me two years to finally understand Star Wars: Resistance. Literally, I didn’t get what the series was fully about until Sunday evening when I watched the finale. And finally, it clicked.

This wasn’t a show designed to have a tragic ending or a bittersweet conclusion like Star Wars: Rebels. This was a story about a family of rebels who came together and survived a small but important conflict with the First Order in a small section of the galaxy. There were adventures, some perilous and some humorous. There were some interesting character developments, new allies, frenemies, and villains that were met along the way, and by the series’ conclusion, we get a sense of joy very reminiscent of the joyous ending delivered in A New Hope.

The fight, of course, isn’t over but we understand that these characters, this family brought together on the Colossus will always be there for one another. And that is a beautiful story that I’m actually delighted was told.

No, both seasons weren’t perfect, but that finale was. I’m giving it 100 out 100 and 5 out 5 stars. It was a great ending to a fun story.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day. May the Force be with you.

The Dark Knight Lives (TWENTY-NINE)

Katherine Kane needed information. And where was the best place to learn the most important gossip around town? In a pub down in the lower levels of Gotham called The Steampot.

The evening had arrived, bathing everything in the classic early darkness of nighttime. A harsh cold permeated the city but this time she was prepared. Clothed in a heavy black coat with a fur-lined interior, she dismounted her motorcycle in front of the pub before entering the premises. Continue reading The Dark Knight Lives (TWENTY-NINE)

Rest in Peace, Kobe Bryant

The passing of Kobe Bryant has utterly shocked the world and left many in tears, including me. Everyone has a different story about the Lakers legend. For me, he was before my time.

I knew of the legend, who didn’t, as he continued to grace the big stage with his unwavering presence. In 2016, when he played his last game, I saw the highlights of his 60-point finale but I didn’t watch it. At the time, the Lakers weren’t doing that well so I wasn’t SUPER interested but what impressed me the most was Bryant’s Oscar win. An Oscar win that came only two years after his retirement.

And yet, despite being someone who has focused more on Lebron James’s career, the death of Kobe and his thirteen-year-old daughter Gianna is truly and utterly devastating.

I had no idea how much Bryant had impacted me until yesterday when I cried several times after hearing the news. And even now, as I write this post and watch the moving tributes on CBS This Morning, I can’t erase the emotion that I am feeling.

For Kobe, I will take this day to honor his legacy and continue my other posts tomorrow.

Rest in peace Kobe and Gianna Bryant. 💕

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day.
