‘Survivor: Winners at War’ Is Everything I Could’ve Wanted…and More

Survivor; it’s my favorite show on television. Twice a year we are afforded two seasons of this fascinating reality show that sometimes manage to impress and sometimes become SUPER BORING! The 40th Season (yeah, it’s been on that long) began this past Wednesday and it was the most excited I’ve been about a Survivor season premiere in a long while…in fact, maybe ever.

I watched my favorite season, Season 20: Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, on-demand and so the suspense paired with having to wait for a new episode every week was non-existent. This time, I am not afforded with such a luxury and that is a BUMMER.

Let me tell you, I loved this premiere. It was so much fun from beginning to end. Seeing so many winners return for an epic season that’ll provide the biggest reality television prize of all time ($2 million) is not only mind-blowing but so riveting at the same time.

There have been dozens of fantastic players who have played the game but there have only been thirty-nine winners, making each individual on this season that much more special.

As I watched the two-hour season premiere I could not stop smiling. Even now, writing this post, I’m on cloud nine. You’ve got returning players like Boston Rob, two-time winner and the true GOAT, Sanda, Parvati, Jeremy, Tony, Tyson, and Yul all on one season, not to mention everyone else. To think that someone’s going to make it out of this season as the winner of Survivor: Winners at War is beyond remarkable.

There is absolutely no doubt that this will be one of the best Survivor seasons of all time. With a new twist added to the game, Survivor currency, the Edge of Extinction island brought back into play, and so many fantastic players of the game to watch every week, this is going to be quite the ride and I am ready for every moment of it.

I can’t wait to share my overview of next week’s episode. With Rob’s wife, Amber voted off the season’s title Winners at War suddenly feels that much more authentic.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.
