A Big Twist Delivers an Exciting Fifth Episode for ‘Survivor: Winners at War’

Survivor: Winners at War has been a really fun season so far with some of the best gameplay in the first six tribal councils. In the last three weeks, we’ve seen the “Old-Schoolers” (I’m dubbing the returning players from Seasons 1-20 as the Old-Schoolers) get a wakeup call in this new-school way of playing the game. First, it was Ethan Zohn blindsided by his “New-School” tribemates, then Tyson Apostol who, led by Sandra, was ousted by an incredible blindside he, of course, didn’t see coming, and then Rob Mariano who was FINALLY voted off when his fellow tribemates were able to see through his renown bamboozling.

Rob would find himself on the hot seat due to a huge twist that put a monkey-wrench in the relationships created so far. The two tribes of fifteen combined were split into three tribes of five people, showcasing a whole lot of switcheroos. One such pairing that was honestly cringe-worthy to watch was Michelle and Wendell’s pairing, considering that the two recently dated and broke up under bad circumstances but were forced to be together on an island.

The tension was legitimate and even I was uncomfortable. This should be a very interesting storyline moving further and I wonder if Michelle will get the last laugh as she sends Wendell packing. We’ll see. Continue reading A Big Twist Delivers an Exciting Fifth Episode for ‘Survivor: Winners at War’

The Stormtroopers: Part 7

FN-3043 couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Through his years’ training to become a soldier for the First Order he had heard of the man everyone feared named Kylo Ren.

Kylo Ren was a sadistic warrior who wielded one of the famed lightsabers. A man with a haunted past that no one would dare approach him about. He was even rumored to be the son of the Resistance’s leader, General Leia Organa. And now he was the leader of the First Order because of Supreme Leader Snoke’s sudden death.

It was said that Snoke was killed by a mysterious intruder but most of the stormtroopers didn’t believe it. They all figured it was Kylo Ren’s doing that brought about Snoke’s demise. And now, FN-3043 was seeing this man in the flesh.

The Kylo Ren.

When the terrifying monster towering as high as the trees noticed the charging man in dark robes wielding a crimson lightsaber it released a deafening bellow before launching a lethal claw at the Supreme Leader.

3043 gasped as he watched Kylo Ren disappear where the monster’s massive claw had smashed the ground. And then a second later the monster screamed in pain as its hand was severed from Kylo Ren’s lightsaber.

Rearing from the agony the vicious creature took a step back. But Kylo wasn’t done yet. He outstretched a gloved hand and the beast suddenly clutched its thick neck with its remaining claw as it began to choke. Kylo Ren stood still, his left hand’s fingers bent as if curled around the creature’s neck.

Within seconds the terrifying monster’s eyes rolled up in its head and it fell forward. When its massive form hit the forest floor the ground trembled with its weight.

Kylo Ren turned to his dwindled army who had watched the spectacle in silent awe.

“The fight is not over,” he said.

With a twirl of his saber, he charged into the night.
