A Movie Ranking: Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg is one of those actors whose movies I actually tend to enjoy. I haven’t watched a movie with him yet that I didn’t like to a certain extent and that’s why I thought it would be fun to have him be the actor listed for this week’s A Movie Ranking. Here are the films I’ve seen with him and my ranking in those movies.

5. Transformers: The Last Knight

Mark Wahlberg, Erik Aadahl, Peter Cullen, Josh Duhamel, Tony Hale, Barbara Eve Harris, Stephen Hogan, John Burke, and Isabela Merced in Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)

I saw Transformers: Age of Extinction. I’m one of the people who actually really enjoyed the film. The Last Knight, not so much. The third act has some of those tinges of epicness Age of Extinction seemed to contain in abundance but overall, I’ve only been able to watch the film twice, and barely…at that.

4. Daddy’s Home 2

Daddy’s Home was REALLY hilarious and enjoyable. Its sequel, unfortunately, would suffer the sequel curse. With humorous moments that felt corny and unrealistic, Daddy’s Home 2 was not the film I hoped for, unfortunately.

3. Daddy’s Home

Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell in Daddy's Home (2015)

Like I said before, this movie is so much fun. My family and I watched it one day and it’s one of the funniest films I’ve seen in years. Full of humor and heart, Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell kill it as the rival stepdads that they are.

2. Transformers: Age of Extinction

Mark Wahlberg, Peter Cullen, Nicola Peltz, and Jack Reynor in Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)

Transformers: Age of Extinction is one of those movies that you don’t think is going to be good but ends up blowing you away. My family and I saw it in IMAX six years ago and we ended up going to see it another two times because it was that awesome.

1. Lone Survivor

I’m not a fan of military-style films but this one, this one caught me by surprise. Lone Survivor is one of the best films in this genre that I’ve seen, offering some truly riveting action that doesn’t get tiring.

All in all, these five movies have their likable qualities and the top 3 are easy must-watch films in my opinion.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
