My Top 20 Scenes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Part 3

Oh man, this is exciting. We’ve reached my top ten favorite scenes in the MCU and so, with no further delay, let’s countdown to the top five.

10. Captain America vs. Iron Man

Captain America: Civil War is filled with twists and turns. At times, you think the story is going one way when in actuality it builds to a climactic duel between Captain America and Iron Man that is 100% epic. I mean, this picture alone details this scene as one of the most striking moments in the MCU.

9. Avengers Assemble

Happiness. That is what this scene invokes for me. No matter how many times I’ve seen it my body is covered in goosebumps (mainly due to the epic score composed by Alan Silverstri) and I’m pretty sure that’ll never change.

8. The Guardians of the Galaxy

The Guardians of the Galaxy can often be considered a joke of a superhero team but it is this scene right here that defines as the awesome (and rather epic) team that they are. With the power of their bond combined, they were able to withstand the power of the freaking Power Stone and defeat Ronan, a fact that is even more incredible considering that we have seen firsthand how powerful the Infinity Stones are.

Plus, the music is so amazing at this part. In fact, it’s giving me chills just thinking about it.

7. Mysterio At Full Effect

Being someone that isn’t fully familiar with all of Spider-Man’s incredible nemesis, I didn’t know just how awesome Mysterio was until this sequence right here. Mysterio, in order to kill Peter Parker, takes him through a rather horrifying yet visually incredible sequence that feels so imaginatively thoughtful and is simply riveting to watch. This scene alone is the reason why Mysterio is one of my favorite villains in the MCU.

6. Captain America Wields Mjolnir

I mean come on! It’s scenes like this that made Avengers: Endgame worth the 21-year-buildup, propelled it to becoming the highest-grossing film of all time, and had millions of people around the world filling theaters with raucous cheers and clapping.

I still remember the first time I saw this scene. I didn’t see it coming and I never knew it was everything I could’ve ever wanted…and more. Endgame isn’t my favorite MCU film, that honor still belongs to Infinity War, but it was the perfect conclusion to an incredible saga that has managed to permeate nearly half of my entire life.

I love Captain America.

Okay, tomorrow ends the journey. Five scenes left. I can’t wait to share them with you.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.
