You Won’t Believe How Many Disney Movies are in The Billion-Dollar Film Club

Disney has solidified itself as one of the most beloved companies in the world, delivering powerful films that continue to wow and inspire people of all races across the globe. And these movies happen to make a lot of money!

While reading the list of billion-dollar movies on IMDb I couldn’t help noticing that Disney movies take up 23 of the 42 films on this list and so, I had to share it with you. Enjoy!

42. Aladdin

Aladdin would become Will Smith’s highest-grossing film at a whopping $1,012,437,181.

40. Zootopia

I would never have known that Zootopia is part of the billion-dollar club, which is very interesting. But I’m not surprised. It was a good movie.

$1, 023,784,195

39. Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland was the first movie I ever watched in IMAX and my family loved it! I’m not at all surprised by its impressive $1,025,467,110.

35. Finding Dory

I tried to watch Finding Dory. I didn’t like Finding Dory. But obviously, a lot of people did.

34. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

My sister and I tried to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and we didn’t make it twenty minutes into the film. It was not our cup of tea. But obviously, it made a whole heck of a lot of money.

33. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

A phenomenal film, by all means, Rogue One is part of the billion-dollar club for a reason. It’s amazing!

32. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest

Being personally my favorite installment in the franchise, I’m not surprised this is the highest-grossing film of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

31. The Rise of Skywalker

The Rise of Skywalker may have the lowest-grossing numbers of the sequel trilogy but it still hit that coveted billion mark.

30. Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3 is only the second film to ever be nominated for Best Picture and Best Animated Film and it deserves it. This movie is very, very good and will produce quite the waterworks as well.

24. Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel was a pretty good film, delivering a compelling story of a superhero never before seen on the big screen. It dazzled audiences and wowed little girls around the world, so there’s no surprise that it would soar to the billion-dollar club.

22. Captain America: Civil War

This movie was (and is) amazing and with so many awesome scenes it’s no surprise that it’s so high on the list.

21. Spider-Man: Far from Home

The first Spider-Man film to ever get in the billion-dollar club, Marvel keeps dominating the box-office, and for good reason. Their movies are good.

20. Iron Man 3

I saw this film twice in the movie theaters (at Disney World, I might add) once, with my father and sister and the other time with my mother included so we could all see the film. No, it isn’t the best Marvel movie ever made but I guess it deserves its place on this list.

18. Incredibles 2

While it wasn’t better than The Incredibles the fact that we finally got a sequel to one of the greatest animated films of all time was enough to drive people to the movies over and over again.

15. Beauty and the Beast

I actually really like this movie. It’s personally my favorite adaptation of a Disney animated classic so far and it totally deserves being a part of this list.

14. Frozen

A beautiful story that produces so. Many. Tears!

12. Star Wars: The Last Jedi

While The Last Jedi may have been a divisive film, splitting the loyal fandom in two, there’s no denying the box-office numbers which prove the movie did excite quite a bit of people.

10. Black Panther

Black Panther stunned the world as it delivered a powerful story that struck the hearts of millions to the point where it was nominated for Best Picture, becoming the only comic book movie to ever receive this honor. It also ended up getting much more money than people expected, becoming one of the highest-grossing Marvel movies of all time.

9. Avengers: Age of Ultron

While this wasn’t nearly as entertaining as The Avengers it would still end up getting a whole bunch of money.

7. The Avengers

An amazing film all around and the first film to make me a fan of the Marvel franchise, The Avengers deserves its place on this list.

6. The Lion King

The Lion King may have received a mixed reaction from critics and fans but honestly, dollars speak louder than words and apparently this movie was pretty special.

5. Avengers: Infinity War

It’s no surprise that this is fifth on the list. The movie’s amazing, throwing plot twist after plot twist in a way that made it one of the greatest films of all time.

4. Star Wars: The Force Awakens

In 2015 something happened that Star Wars fans believed would never happen; Star Wars was back. And not only was it back but it was better than ever. With a whole new cast of characters to love (or despise), The Force Awakens gave fans what we all wanted; a freaking amazing Star Wars movie!

1. Avengers: Endgame

And last but definitely not least, we have Avengers: Endgame, a goliath of a film that culminated the entire Infinity Saga in one jaw-dropping, tear-inducing display of storytelling that sent this movie skyrocketing past box-office records at blinding speeds.

Avatar was a great movie but if any movie was to dethrone it I’m glad it was Avengers: Endgame.

So yeah, here’s the list of all the Disney movies that joined the billion-dollar club and their places on the list. Some of these entries were a surprise but most are totally deserving of their position as some of the highest-grossing films of all time.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a marvelous day.
