As fans of pop culture, my sister and I are always on top of the latest Marvel and Star Wars news and sometimes we like to conceptualize certain actors as certain characters or versions of our favorite characters that we’d like to see in the future. Such as Captain America with a beard. I had been waiting for the moment when our perfectly-shaven Cap would finally head into the rugged department with a beard and sure enough he finally got one in Avengers: Infinity War. I still remember seeing Cap with a beard for the first time in the teaser trailer. To say I was elated was an understatement.
So now, we’re taking our concepts to life in the form of my sister’s ever impressive art for this brand new series of mine, A Cool Concept.
Last week, there was news that Katee Sackhoff (the voice of Bo-Katan Kryze in both The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels) would play Bo-Katan in live-action for the second season of The Mandalorian. So, naturally, my sister had to paint an idea of what that could look like. Here it is.
Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze
My sister took Katee Sackhoff’s face and painted her into existence as Bo-Katan and boy does it look amazing. She almost seems as if she was born to play this character who she has managed to bring to life in such an exciting way. I would absolutely love if Katee did play Bo-Katan in the second season of The Mandalorian and if this is true it would be phenomenal.
A Concept of an Older Ezra Bridger
For us Star Wars fans, we’re all waiting for the moment when Ezra Bridger returns from…wherever he went, and when he does he’ll be an older, wiser Jedi. My sister has conceptualized an older Ezra Bridger of about 5-7 years since he disappeared over Lothal and apparently *cough cough* he’s a rather handsome fella. (I knew he was my favorite Star Wars character. Lol.)
This is, undoubtedly (and not because he’s rather easy on the eyes😌) the best version I’ve seen of an older Ezra. The other versions I’ve seen always depicts him in a way that doesn’t feel faithful to the character that we’ve grown to know in Rebels. This does…in a weird way. Plus, it just looks really cool.
I’m excited to share whatever other concepts my sister draws and I thank you for reading. Have a lovely day.
