Throwback Friday: The Cutest Baby Yoda Moment

Baby Yoda is so CUTE! He caught the internet by storm with his meme-able moments and his unwavering cuteness. It’s safe to say, the world fell in love with the diminutive alien and that makes sense because it is as lovable as any alien puppet ever made.

But what is the character’s cutest moment? Because he has many! But I do have a favorite moment and it comes during the beginning of the second episode.

The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda are traveling through a gorge when they are attacked by a trio of Trandoshan bounty hunters. Mando is injured during the fight and the following night is trying to heal the wound.

The Child gazes at Mando healing his wound and decides he wants to help. He climbs out of his floating cradle, walks to the helmeted space warrior, and tried to use the Force to heal him.

It is this moment that is undoubtedly my favorite Baby Yoda moment in the entire series. It utterly melts me every time I watch it and it is one of the reasons why this happens to be my favorite episode in Season One. In fact, I find The Child at his cutest in this episode, period.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day. May the Force be with you.

  1. I personally would pick the moment where Mando unscrews the ball shaped grip handle from the lever on his control panel and hands it to the Child, and the Child looks up at him for a moment and then accepts it and chews on it. It’s not just the Child here either, but it’s a moment of unspoken tenderness and acceptance between the two that’s just adorable to me. Mando hadn’t wanted him chewing on it before and took it away, and the Child didn’t understand why and looked kinda hurt. Now he’s sort of wondering what’s up… and then decides he doesn’t care. The ball tastes good.
