Going To a Restaurant for the First Time Since the Beginning of the Pandemic

Yesterday I went out with my mother and sister to a restaurant for the first time since the beginning of COVID-19, hence the mask in the featured image. Because it was such a momentous occasion I had to document it. So, here goes nothing.

Tortilla Chips and Salsa (The best part of the meal…unfortunately.)

Unsurprisingly, the restaurant was mostly empty. We went to have lunch at around 12:20pm but it was still disheartening to see this independent restaurant, which was a fusion Tex-Mex place called Salsa’s, with so little traffic. We sat on a completely empty patio and were forced to deal with the muggy weather.

Cooooke

That’s why I took this picture of myself drinking Coke. I was hot and needed refreshment…dearly.

My poor attempt at a Selfie

While waiting for our food I tried to take a selfie which I am terrible at.

A burrito to…forget

When my burrito arrived I was excited, as you can see in this picture. Unfortunately, after the first few bites, I realized that the burrito was filled with a ratio of 4:1 eggs to beef (overcooked beef) which was a bit offputting considering that I wasn’t looking for a breakfast burrito. (To be fair, I didn’t read the fine print on the menu and totally missed where it said eggs were in the burrito. Lol.)

But yeah, it wasn’t that great…but I still had a fun time hanging out with my mother and sister on a summer afternoon.

And here I am, stuffed with Coke, tortilla chips and salsa (because that’s what I mostly ate) with our to-go boxes in hand. I had fun.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
