Have you ever experienced a trailer that was lightning in a bottle? Well, that was my experience watching the teaser for Guardians of the Galaxy for the first time. I had no idea Marvel Studios was making a movie about these wacky band of misfits and so when the trailer started I was like, “What the world is this?” When the Marvel Studios logo appeared I got even more confused. And then…magic happened.
Here’s the trailer.
Let me take you through the delightful weirdness of seeing this trailer for the first time.
The scenario, which was already a little dismal, was getting worse and worse by the second. One of the Winter Soldiers was now fighting both Natasha and Sharon Carter at the same time. Sharon, in trying to help her friend after finding Natasha barely clinging to life as the Winter Soldier pinned her to the car roof choking to her death, jumped up to shoot him only to have him disarm her in the blink of an eye. It was enough of a distraction, however, for Natasha to kick him away.
Gasping for breath, Natasha slid to the ground on one knee, holding her neck and spluttering while Sharon handled the Winter Soldier as best she could. Fighting Bucky had inadvertently prepared her for this very situation and she was better prepared. It still didn’t make the fight any easier as he dodged her attacks with ease and sent punches and kicks to her body that felt like bits of her soul were being chipped away with every blow. It wasn’t long before Natasha had gained enough strength to return to the fight.
Ever since this movie came out I’ve been hearing rave reviews about it. The song “This Is Me” was everywhere, making me not that enthusiastic about seeing the film but once it dropped on Disney+ and after seeing Hugh Jackman in Les Miserables I had to give it a look. Well, I got to say, it lived up to the hype.
The very beginning thrust me back in my seat, leaving me like, “Whoa, this is cool!” And then Hugh Jackman started singing and I was enchanted. Wow! The man can sing. I know I said that when I watched Les Miserables but hearing him singing songs that sound like pop songs I was even more impressed. I mean, I’m just blown away ’cause he’s Wolverine but wow, he’s multi-talented.
With a potential trailer dropping for The Mandalorian tomorrow, here’s a look back at this potentially important clue for what’s to come in Season 2 of The Mandalorian. Enjoy!
Very soon we’ll be sitting down in front of our televisions, computers, phones, or whatever provides access to Disney+ watching brand new episodes of The Mandalorian. That means we get to follow the adventures of Mando, Baby Yoda, and we’ll get to surely learn more about the series’ primary antagonist, Moff Gideon.
