Our Stories for T’Challa

My sister and I have been writing short fan fiction stories and fan art on another blog of ours (2sistersonline) for years now and we have written several stories featuring the fictional world and characters of Wakanda. My sister, of course, has shared some beautiful art as well. For the next few days I would like to share this art and these stories in honor of this great man who gave us a black superhero that changed the world: Chadwick Boseman.

Written by my sister, this is In the Afterworld

T’Challa walked through the darkness, purple aurora lights floating above him, and stars twinkling. He was in the afterworld, where his ancestors lived, where he would find his father.

He stepped forward, towards a lone tree on the African plain. Black Panthers sat among its canopy, and one jumped down.

Suddenly, the Black Panther turned into–

“Baba,” T’Challa said, pulling his father into a hug. T’Chaka laughed.

“You’re finally here,” T’Chaka said.

“Yes, Baba.”

T’Chaka stepped back, grabbing his son by the shoulders with affection. “You are king now, and I am so proud of you,” T’Chaka continued.

T’Challa, overcome with emotions, fell to his knees, holding his father’s hands tightly. “Now that I’m here, Baba, I don’t know what to do. I don’t know if I can be a great king like you were.”

T’Chaka frowned. “Stand up! Stand up!” he said. T’Challa looked up at him with tears in his eyes. “You are a king, son, and you will bow to no one for the rest of your days.”

T’Challa, heeding his father’s words, stood. He looked in his father’s eyes with determination. “I am scared. Wakanda is not like it was when you first turned king. The world is changing.”

“It has already changed. But Wakanda has as well, with you. You must find the will to bring our great nation into the light. You must be a beacon to the world. And you can son.”

T’Challa nodded. “I understand.”

Just then, T’Challa woke, woke to a new Wakanda.

Thank you so much for reading this story and yes, there are more to come. I hope you have a beautiful day.
