The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is just so much fun. Last week’s episode had me doing inner somersaults and this week’s episode has left me feeling just…good. This show is serving up all of the goods; fantastic action sequences, plot twists, laugh-out-loud humor, but it never refrains from sticking to the seriousness of the show’s ultimate plot, Sam’s dismissal of the shield.
This third episode ended on a rather high note, and I’m talking about my internal scream. Of course, I won’t share any spoilers but just…whoa, I didn’t see that coming.
Sharon Carter finally made her appearance which was nice to see and boy did she get more love than her roles in both The Winter Soldier and Civil War. She was fantastic and I just loved every moment with her. Plus, this week we got Zemo… What a fun addition to the story.
I think what surprised me the most about this episode was its mature vibe. The MCU has always had movies that are closer to PG than R in the PG-13 zone but this shows feels like they really wanted to tell a more serious, more mature story and you can feel that in the sequences and the violence. Geez, I couldn’t believe the level of violence displayed in this episode. I was thoroughly impressed.
All in all, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has left me very pleased again and now I’m going to be jittery again for next week’s episode which is going to feature a lot of interesting plot points and I’m here for all of it!
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.
