This Is The Funniest Thing I’ve Seen All Day

So I was just checking out starwars.com to see what was new and as I scrolled down the home page I saw this two-minute long video displaying the LEGO version of The Last Jedi. Now, let me give you a brief history of my experience with legos. When I was younger I had a Wii and a few of my favorite games was LEGO The Lord of the Rings (fantastic game by the way,) LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4, and LEGO Star Wars. These games made me love the LEGO version of some of my favorite movies. Then when I got an XBOX One I also ended up getting LEGO The Hobbit and LEGO The Force Awakens, both of which I enjoyed playing immensely. If there just so happened to be a LEGO The Last Jedi I would own it on the first day, that’s how fun and hilarious these games are.

So anyway, like I said before, I saw this two-minute video of the LEGO version of The Last Jedi and I just had to watch it. Check it out:

This is literally one of the funniest things I have ever seen. It’s the entire story of the original trilogy plus The Force Awakens plus The Last Jedi all within two minutes and it’s just absurdly perfect and comedic. I love legos, I loved The Lego Movie when it came out four years ago (I actually own it,) I love seeing these characters I know so well depicted as LEGO toys, and the child narrating the short film only made it funnier.

I love hilarious stuff and you can’t go wrong with legos. I hope this made you laugh as much as it made me laugh and I thank you for reading. Have a beautiful day and May the LEGOs (hee-hee) be with you.

‘Monster Hunter’: Another Failed Game Adaptation

Movies based on video games is like an instant death sentence. For some reason movie production companies, screenwriters, and directors have never been able to crack the formula on adapting video games into really good movies and I don’t understand why.

I’m talking Mortal Kombat and Assassin’s Creed or the most maddening of all of the adaptations, Warcraft based on the super fun PC game World of Warcraft whose story is just as expansive and epic as The Lord of the Rings and yet was a total bust in cinematic form. Now yesterday I watched the last game adaptation to join that long list of awful game adaptation movies: Monster Hunter.

You may not know this but I’m an avid gamer. I play video games regularly and am a particular fan of the Destiny games, World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Rocket League, Assassin’s Creed, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the old Star Wars: Force Unleashed game, the Xenoblade Chronicles game, The Legend of Zelda, and MarioKart…but I’ve also played Monster Hunter.

Monster Hunter is a game that I was never really fond of. I’ve fleetingly played the game on both my Wii and Xbox One but wasn’t a fan. The actual game is pretty boring because there is no real plot. You’re just running around, picking up quests to go kill monsters with your giant weapon of choice, and then you return back to the village to give yourself upgrades. That’s it!

But I have played this game enough to know it well. So this is what I’ll say about the Monster Hunter movie.

‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ Is the Best ‘Star Wars’ Game I’ve Played…But It’s Not Without Out Its Faults

For the past couple of months, the buzz around Star Wars has been something else. First, there was The Mandalorian which grasped the hearts of millions with its incredible storytelling and fascinating new characters. And then, shortly thereafter, the highly-anticipated game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order arrived, sending Star Wars fans into even happier pandemonium. I heard the excited chatter and was thrilled to one day play the game.

Nine days ago we finally got the game and it wasn’t long before we got to work. In short, the experience was thrilling. The story was engaging, the thoughtful combat style is very difficult and sometimes maddening (in a good way), the graphics are well-done and at times one can easily just stand in an area and stare at the impressive surroundings. So…where’s the catch, you may ask? Continue reading ‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ Is the Best ‘Star Wars’ Game I’ve Played…But It’s Not Without Out Its Faults

The ‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ Gameplay Is Amazing

I’m a HUGE gamer. I’ve been one since I was a child. As a little girl, I would play Super Mario Bros, the fighting game Tatsunoko vs. CapcomSuper Smash Bros, and MarioKart until I dropped. I got older and graduated to the XBOX where I’ve played Mortal Kombat XDestiny and Destiny 2Call of Duty: Advanced WarfareRise of the Tomb RaiderAssassins: CreedOverwatch, etc. And then there are the Star Wars games.

On my Nintendo Wii, I had Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and I LOVED it!

Starkiller in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
Yeah, the graphics are pretty terrible looking now. This game was made a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

The Force Unleashed is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope and follows the story of Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, a man named Galen Marek, who is the son of a Jedi Darth Vader killed. Galen, at first Darth Vader’s lead assassin who hunted down and killed rogue Jedi, turned against his master and tried to set on his own path.

It’s a really interesting story that is SUPER fun to play. Leia makes a surprise cameo which is fun. The game also had a two-player duel option where you can face off against a friend and fight with the iconic characters of the game such as Luke Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan, Darth Vader, etc. My sister and I would always play with Anakin and Obi-Wan Skywalker, hence recreating our own duel between them. 🙂

But after The Force Unleashed, I haven’t played any other Star Wars games except for the Lego Star Wars games and the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic, making my excitement for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order that much more special for me.

The Fall of ‘Assassin’s Creed’

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was the first game I played on my XBOX One several years ago (it came in the package deal.) For years I had used the Wii as my gaming system and it was fun, for the most part. Playing Mariokart until I dropped, The Legends of Zelda game, Tatsunoko vs. CapcomSuper Mario Smash Bros, you get the picture. I played the Wii for a LONG time and it was fun. But as I got older I wanted to play games made for older people. That led me to eventually having the XBOX One in my teenage years.

Like I was saying at the beginning of this post, the first game I ever played on my XBOX One was Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and it blew me away. Yeah, the graphics weren’t the absolute best in the world but it was beyond a blast to play.

I grew to love Black Flag for its exciting adventures, the fighting matrix, the storyline, everything about the game was super fun and instantly made me an Assassin’s Creed fan. In fact, it’s such a massively wonderful game that I never finished it.

Along with the XBOX One package deal was another Assassin’s Creed game called Assassin’s Creed: Unity and that made me even more of a fan of the series.

This Is One of the Funniest Things I Have Ever Seen

So I was just going through some of my older posts and I came across this absolutely hilarious video depicting The Last Jedi with Legos. Oh my goodness, I forgot about this. It’s absolutely hilarious. So, for any of you haven’t seen it and might want a good laugh this video is for you. 🙂

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day. May the Force be with you.
