Netflix’s Original Series, ‘The Dragon Prince’, Returns November 2

Netflix has a bunch of original series for viewers of all ages. One such original series that I ran into was The Dragon Prince. I ended up binge-watching the series’ first two seasons in a day, literally, it was that good. I couldn’t wait to learn when the third season would arrive and, surprise, it arrives on November 2.

If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out. The Dragon Prince is a delightful animated series on par with the imaginative wonders of such shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender, Voltron: Legendary Defender, and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

If you have seen this show before, I hope this announcement made you just as happy as it made me.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have an amazing day.

‘Beats’ Is a Beautiful Story of Triumph over Tragedy

Every once in a while Netflix releases an original film or series that turns out to actually be kind of amazing. Last year Netflix released two films that would go on to have a massive presence at the Oscars; Roma and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. And it looks like Netflix is trying to have a few more films in the running for the Oscars and Beats is leading the charge.

Beats, starring Anthony Anderson and Khalil Everage, is a film set in the South Side of Chicago that follows the story of a traumatized teenager after he witnesses a devastating event that changes his life forever and his rehabilitation process.

This film will make you smile, it’ll probably make you cry, and its story is just unpredictable enough to leave you guessing what is going to happen and still manages to deliver plenty of surprises. And with a perfect marrying of hip-hop music to help carry the story you’ll probably find yourself bumping to the film’s scores and songs.

Beats is a beautiful story told in an inspiringly triumphant fashion, leaving one realizing that no matter how tough times can be it’s always important to follow your dreams and to never stop believing.

I’m giving this film 97 out of 100 and 4.5 of 5 stars. The movie is perfectly composed and leaves one immensely satisfied at the film’s conclusion.

And get this, the film’s Rotten Tomatoes critic score is currently at 100%. Not bad right?

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.

A Poster Has Arrived for the new Netflix Original Series: ‘The Witcher’

If you may recall Henry Cavill last year announced that he was done playing Superman, leaving superhero movie fans in slight shock. We all knew Ben Affleck was on his way out but Henry Cavill too? On the heels of his announcement, it was also revealed that Henry Cavill would be taking his talents to another frontier–the global streaming Goliath, Netflix–where he would star in a live-action adaptation of the beloved video games series; The Witcher.

I even have this game stashed away somewhere in a lost vault with all of the other stashed games I own (mainly Wii games.) Funny thing is, I haven’t even played it. I couldn’t take the main character’s deep Batman-like voice. It was grating on my nerves big time. Anyway, off of that.

Netflix is creating an original series coming out later this year bringing the game to life with Henry Cavill starring as the main character. That’s pretty cool. And today the first poster dropped. Here it is. Continue reading A Poster Has Arrived for the new Netflix Original Series: ‘The Witcher’
