Marvel Studios Adds Four Unknown Movies for 2024: What Will They Be?

Is Marvel fatigue a worry for Kevin Feige? Apparently not with Marvel Studios announcing yesterday four unknown movies that will release in 2024 with these dates: February 16th, May 3rd, July 26th, and November 8th.

While these films are unannounced I have already taken the liberty to fill in the blanks for the potential last two unannounced movies of 2023 and the four films in 2024.

Blade: 2023

In 2019, Marvel Studios announced that Blade was coming to the MCU with two-time Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali set to star in the film as the title character. Suffice it to say, I’m very excited to see him as this character and I think it’s absolutely perfect casting once again.

Now Blade also a writer and director signed onto the film; a Black female writer named Stacy Osei-Kuffour (she will become Marvel Studios’ first Black female writer.) Turns out she’s already had some comic book adaptation experience considering that she was one of the writers who brought the critically-acclaimed Watchmen to life on HBO Max.

And now, even though it hasn’t been entirely confirmed, indie director Bassam Tariq is reportedly set to direct the film.

It’s only a matter of time before we start learning more about this film and I have a feeling we will be seeing this movie in 2023.

Recapping the Incredible Marvel Studios Hall H Panel at San Diego Comic-Con

Waking up this Sunday morning my head is still throbbing with a slight headache from all of the exciting news last night from Marvel Studios. It was said there was going to be a panel depicting what’s next for Phase 4 of the MCU, I knew there was going to be some information about the upcoming Black Widow movie and Eternals film but…I was not expecting what would transpire next.

Today, I’m recapping the mind-blowing event last night. You may have been like me, refreshing the Twitter and following along with the live tweets and updates on the websites. If not, prepare for your mind to be blown! Enjoy.

The First Eleven Years

The panel began with a giant montage celebrating the first eleven years of the MCU. Avengers: Endgame spearheaded the end of the montage with Thanos saying, “I am inevitable” followed by Tony Stark’s already-iconic response, “And I am Iron Man.” A few more clips of Endgame were shown before the logo for the first three phases of the MCU was released, which you can see in the picture above. The Infinity Saga. Isn’t it beautiful?

After that, the real news commenced. Continue reading Recapping the Incredible Marvel Studios Hall H Panel at San Diego Comic-Con

Here Are Some Other MCU Characters That Should Get Their Own Show

Rumors circled a few days ago that Loki and Scarlet Witch would be getting their own shows on Disney’s new streaming service, Disney Play. But which other Marvel characters should also get their own television series? Here are some ideas.

Blade

Blade hasn’t debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet but what wouldn’t be cooler than to see this awesome superhero get his own series on Disney’s streaming service, Disney Play. It could be raw but contained enough for a PG-13 audience, it could feature some awesome MCU character cameos, and it could focus on a completely different corner of the MCU that we haven’t seen before. Sounds pretty awesome to me.

Phase 4 of the MCU Needs To Introduce Blade to the MCU

Before there was Black Panther there was Blade. Twenty years ago Blade entered theaters, becoming the first black superhero to have his own film. But because it was ten years too early it pretty much was forgotten, lost to a breed of Marvel films that are practically ancient in comparison with today’s MCU movies.

But, with the booming success of Black Panther this year, it proves that we need more black heroes to take the lead with these awesome movies. And what more awesome character to introduce to this upcoming phase of the MCU other than Blade.

What got me thinking about this was a certain episode of the animated series Avengers Assemble: Secret Wars on Disney XD. It was an episode featuring Hawkeye and he had to fend off a character I had never heard of in the MCU, Dracula. I was blown away. Dracula was a Marvel villain?! What?!

I went to see who Dracula’s archnemesis was and when I found out it was Blade all lightbulbs went off in my head.

And then I went to see who Blade has been affiliated with in the comics and two of the characters he has connections with are, get this, Doctor Strange (yeah!) and Spider-Man. Oh my goodness, could get this any better?
