Well I Finally Got to This Week’s Episode of ‘The Book of Boba Fett’

Every week I watch the latest episode of the latest Marvel or Star Wars Disney+ series at 3am but unfortunately yesterday, well, I fell asleep. I fell asleep hard. So I didn’t get around to a second viewing until today but when I did I liked what I watched.

I’m going to first announce that yes, this was my favorite episode so far. Whereas Chapter 2 was better but still had some personal kinks to iron out I found this particular episode delightful on so many levels.

The usage of droids in the episode was hilarious, the action finally felt fun to look at, and heck yeah, Boba’s ship came to play.

It felt like this episode made Boba Fett awesome again. There were moments when I was cheering with excitement and others when I was simply appreciating what I was seeing.

I Have One Gripe About ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ Trailer and It’s Major

The trailer for The Book of Boba Fett came out yesterday and it was definitely surprising. I am not going to day the trailer blew my mind because it didn’t. In fact, if I’m being honest, it was kind of boring. But I am confident that the spin-off will be fun to watch for the duration of v is nine episodes. However, there was one thing I noticed that bothered me and I’m here to share my reservations with you.

The trailer’s main goal was to remind us that Boba is, in fact, the new boss of Tatooine and that he will apparently be a fair/ benevolent ruler but that’s where the problem of this trailer lies.

It’s Almost Easy To Forget We’re Getting ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ This December

Last December the second season of The Mandalorian ended but we got a secret spinoff announced; The Book of Boba Fett. It was a shocking announcement. Fans, including me, thought The Mandalorian had concluded and that this was the third season. Then we discovered that it is, in fact, a spinoff. Since learning about the news there has been little to anything said about The Book of Boba Fett. And that’s partly because Marvel Studios has completely distracted us with its two series, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. And then there has been the casting and production news for Kenobi and Andor which have also thrown us off the Book of Boba Fett scent.

But guess what, fellas? It’s still coming this Christmas and in several months we may start to finally get some casting news for The Book of Boba Fett and a trailer. Will we see The Bad Batch set up something for this Mandalorian spinoff? It’s very possible considering that we were introduced to Fennec Shand in The Mandalorian before she makes her animated debut in The Bad Batch.

Until then, here are some ideas of who I think could be in this show.

Even though she hasn’t been officially listed on the cast list on IMDb I think it’s pretty obvious that she’s going to be in The Book of Boba Fett.

Let’s Talk: ‘The Mandalorian: Chapter 16’

It’s been two days and I still have not fully recuperated from the shock of that stunning finale. There were so many moments to digest, so much storytelling implications to explore, but I’m still trying to process most of what happened in the finale so I’m going to stick to talking about the basics; like the return of *that* character and what I think about the new spin-off coming next December.

So, let’s get down to business.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Boba Fett or Cara Dune: Which Disney+ Series Would Be Better?

As with all acclaimed series spinoffs are imminent and there have already been some rumors that we may end up seeing several spinoffs spawn by The Mandalorian. Two of which focus on fan favorites: Boba Fett and Cara Dune.

Boba Fett has been an obscure character in the grand scheme of this series so far. He’s only been seen twice and fleetingly but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to play a large role moving forward.

These next four episodes of The Mandalorian are bound to hold plenty of surprises and what does that mean for Fett’s inclusion in this series? And is his story in this show destined to spring his very own Disney+ series featuring the retired bounty hunter and his adventures on Tatooine? Or could this series give Boba the chance to get offworld and continue his story in a way that feels both original and vastly rewarding?
