‘The Mandalorian’ Finally Has a Trailer

I’m excited on a random Wednesday morning. Why am I excited? Because the trailer for the second season of The Mandalorian came out yesterday and it was delightfully mysterious, as it should be. Here’s the trailer.

It’s safe to say, I love it. Mando is back with Baby Yoda on a brand new adventure. We see a brief glimpse of Season One alums, Green Karga and Cara Dune. A new ultra-mysterious lady in a hooded cloak is shown in the trailer in a way that’s supposed to make us believe that she may be a Jedi. Do I believe that she’s a Jedi? Gosh, I hope she’s a Jedi but I’m more apt to believe that she may be a character who can potentially help him find Baby Yoda’s people.

All in all, this trailer made me happy because it, like the first trailer, refrained from revealing a bunch of spoilers which is a relief. I mean, we’re going to be able to see the show in a month and a half.

Wow! What a Finale!

Heck yeah! That’s my review of this week’s episode. I’m just kidding. I have more to say than that, of course, but those two words are the underlying current of my feeling about this finale for The Mandalorian.

Last Friday at this time I was sitting at home trying to figure out what I had just witnessed. The Rise of Skywalker was a snowball effect of indecision and fan-service, culminating into a supposedly lovable but ultimately horrendous mess.

This Friday, after watching the finale of The Mandalorian, my faith in Star Wars has been restored. You know, the thought of taking a break from the movies for a little while sounds like a good idea because this show has been fantastic, from beginning to end. Packed full of surprises and debuting one of the greatest fictional characters ever in Baby Yoda, The Mandalorian had every chance to turn south and become a boring mess but guess what? It didn’t!

This finale had everything to offer in a concise way that left me just that much more disappointed with The Rise of Skywalker. But off of the more depressing side of Star Wars, live-action Star Wars shows are awesome!

Next up, in two months we get The Clone Wars. Let’s do this!

I’m giving this episode a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars and 95 out of 100. A great finale for a great show.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day. May the Force be with you.

My Brain is Busted After the Third Episode of ‘The Mandalorian’

Two episodes in and I was already losing it. The Mandalorian, played by Pedro Pascal, is oozing coolness off of the screen, dazzling fans around the country. And his uber-cute counterpart has stolen the hearts of millions. Today the third episode of the series came out and I am simply floored. Absolutely, positively floored.

The Mandalorian continues to shock me in ways that I’m not expecting to be shocked. This was the most intense episode yet as our masked protagonist goes Rambo on everybody. And yes, there were even more Easter Eggs to discover in this riveting third episode.

Three episodes in and so far, combined, it’s had the runtime of a Star Wars movie. And let me tell you, just this much of the story has impressed me enough to the point where I’m loving it more than nearly every Star Wars movie made so far. To think we have five more episodes left, I’m trying to decipher where can this story go next? What new characters will he meet? What new obstacles will he have to face? What new enemies will he have to fight? Oh, my brain is rambling.

The Mandalorian is nothing short of extraordinary. In fact, it may be too good, to be honest. With each episode that passes I’m finding myself less and less interested in The Rise of Skywalker. Jon Favreau came up with this idea for The Mandalorian and it’s truly outstanding. I can’t get enough of this show.

This Monday I will share my thoughts on the spoilers but until then, I’ll stop here.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day. I have spoken.

I’m Geeking Out Over ‘The Mandalorian’!

I can bring you in warm… Or I can bring you in cold.”

-The Mandalorian

Those were literally the first words spoken by The Mandalorian in this premiere episode and let me tell you, it was a precise barometer of what to expect for the next thirty-seven minutes or so.

I’ve seen a lot of tv show pilots. Some immediately grip you and make you feel invested in the story. Others leave you underwhelmed and questioning whether you want to return back to see the show the next week. I can assure you, The Mandalorian‘s first episode was the greatest tv show pilot I have ever seen.

At every turn, my wide eyes were made even wider through the dialogue, the nostalgic fan service sprinkled throughout nearly every shot, and those INCREDIBLE action scenes.

Let me tell you, bounty hunting is a difficult profession according to The Mandalorian and what he has to face in what appears to be a matter of a day or two. He meets fascinating characters, some mysterious, all immediately likable. There’s a bit of backstory to unveil a bit of the mystery surrounding him which culminates into a reasonable but shocking decision he makes at the end of the first episode due to a shocking reveal you will never see coming.

The music was OUTSTANDING. Ludwig Gorransson is a phenomenal composer, delivering powerful, heart-swelling scores that one won’t soon forget. I absolutely loved his works on Creed and Black Panther and The Mandalorian is no exception. He knows how to make the viewer very, very happy with his music.

All in all, while I will refrain from spoilers due to the fact that it isn’t available to those around the globe I will say this, it was totally worth the wait.

I’m giving this first episode 100 out of 100 and 5 out of 5 stars. I’ve already watched it twice. I’m pretty sure I’m going to watch it again tonight at some time just because it was that impressive.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have an amazing day. May the Force be with you.

‘The Mandalorian’ Drops Its New Trailer

The Mandalorian is officially dropping in two weeks and just to be nice Disney dropped yet another stunning trailer for the live-action series tonight and I am more than thrilled with the trailer’s results.

Delivering some new visuals to whet any avid Star Wars fans’ appetites, this trailer is the show I’ve always dreamed of but thought I’d never get a chance to see. Of course, these are just trailers and I’m trying desperately not to let my excitement get to my head but one thing’s for certain, I am loving these characters already.

The fact that we’re getting this series just a little over a month ahead of The Rise of Skywalker is all the more thrilling. I can’t wait to share with you my thoughts on the first episode in a couple of weeks.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a beautiful day. May the Force be with you.
