I’m feeling kind of nostalgic so I wanted to reshare the amazing Vanity Fair photos for The Rise of Skywalker. Enjoy!
First off, here are the covers for the Vanity Fair magazine. Um, awesome!
Here we see a look at the native inhabitants of the brand new planet, Pasaana (so it’s not Jakku after all) which is exciting in itself. These clothes, these outfits, it’s beautiful. I have a feeling this film is going to be visually captivating. Continue reading Revisiting the Photos for ‘The Rise of Skywalker’
The Rise of Skywalker is arriving in less than a year and LucasFilm is moving full speed ahead in beginning marketing for this imminently incredible Skywalker saga finale. It’s been rumored for months now that a new stormtrooper would be making its debut in this film and now that stormtrooper has finally arrived for us to look at in full detail.
Mind you, the photos surrounding this stormtrooper is through marketing for the film rather than in motion in the actual movie but it’s still a chance to see this new First Order soldier. EXCITING!
Before I show you what it looks like this is what it’s called: the Sith Trooper. Continue reading A New Stormtrooper Has Been Revealed for ‘The Rise of Skywalker’
The end of May was a pretty exciting time for Star Wars fans as Vanity Fair released a tantalizing issue focusing on the highly-anticipated Skywalker saga finale. We got our first look at new characters featured in this upcoming Star Wars movie, new aliens and planets, and an idea of what to expect from the film.
My sister and I were clearly ecstatic about the issue but, as always, my sister takes her excitement and converts that joy into some truly fascinating art and that’s what she did these covers. Here they are.
Wow, wow, wow. My sister loves drawing manga and seeing this incredible cover drawn in this style is just…mesmerizing. I cannot stop staring at the cape with its soft folds and deep shadows. And the hair! AMAZING! Continue reading Here’s a Fascinating Twist on ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Vanity Fair Covers
The Last Jedi was supposed to answer Star Wars fans’ simmering questions left behind by The Force Awakens but it didn’t and now we’re still pleading for answers. Nearly everything surrounding this sequel has been a mystery (even the romance!), leaving one to wonder just how J.J Abrams is going to find a way to cram all of the answers to our questions in one film.
In terms of the romantic aspect of the film, people are immediately gravitating to several potential romantic pairings; Finn and Rey, Finn and Rose, Rey and Kylo Ren, Finn and Poe, oh the madness won’t end. But one potential couple no one is exactly talking about is Poe and Rey. It’s very far-fetched that the two characters may grow romantic feelings for one another but hey, anything is possible.
The reason for this potential romance is because of the brief exchange between Rey and Poe at the end of The Last Jedi. Now for me, I didn’t see anything between the two characters as they introduced themselves that sparked my future-couple spidey sense but a lot of people are wondering if they might end up becoming something more than just rebellion buddies. Personally, I think having them become a couple would be a terrible idea for several reasons.
One, Rey is just too awesome for Poe (sorry Poe.) Continue reading Throwback Friday: Should Rey and Poe Have A Romance in ‘The Rise of Skywalker’?
The Rise of Skywalker. It’s all someone like me, a Star Wars fan, can think about these days. Why? Well, one, it’s the finale to the nine-film Skywalker saga. Two, it’s a new Star Wars movie. And three, what else is there to think about when it comes to Star Wars–besides The Mandalorian, The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Resistance, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order–okay, there’s a lot to think about but The Rise of Skywalker definitely sits at #1 on the most-interested-about list as of this moment.
I’m proud to say I finally own the latest issue of Vanity Fair (through the will of the Force I got the Kylo Ren version) featuring the stirring behind-the-scenes article of The Rise of Skywalker and as I read it I couldn’t help feeling a sense of extreme joy and immense worry at the same time.
