Some More Marvel News For the Day

So, I’ve got some more Marvel news today.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings dropped a cool two-minute featurette that highlights the film’s action sequences and styles. So excited for this!

The film’s review embargo has been lifted as well so the Rotten Tomatoes score is out and with 51 reviews it sits at an eye-widening 94%. In fact, the score has literally gone up since I started writing this post. I may have to revise this section of the post again before I publish this. Wow!

With that score it’s regarded as the second best Marvel film behind only Black Panther (96%) and is currently tied with Avengers: Endgame and Iron Man. Oh snap!

The ‘Eternals’ Trailer Has Left Me Stunned

Well, the final trailer for Eternals has arrived and well, it’s amazing. I’m talking literally incredible. The teaser was just that, a tease, but this final trailer answers our most burning questions while introducing us to characters and beings that are literally out of this world. Check it out.

Wow, after having seen this trailer four times I can honestly say it is one of the best, most visually striking Marvel trailers that I’ve ever seen. It still leaves so much to the imagination and yet it perfectly illustrates just how incredible this movie can and probably will be.

These are aliens that look like us but are far more powerful. But it is their love for humanity that drives them to want to live among us and protect us when the time comes. Chloe Zhao understands how to make you care about characters you’ve just met and I already know, judging from this trailer, that I’m going to like these characters a lot.

I already said that the official trailer needed to be better than the teaser and well, Marvel delivered…again! Wow, wow, wow.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.

These New Entertainment Weekly Covers for ‘Eternals’ Are Amazing!

Let me tell you, the 2021 Marvel train has been the greatest entertainment ride I think I’ve had since January. Roughly every week feels like Christmas with a new episode of a Marvel Disney+ series or a new announcement that has managed to blow my mind. And considering that we’re getting so much Marvel content in these last few months, the joy I’ve had about this franchise that I have grown to love so much is almost unbearably intense. I find myself having to tell myself to calm down just a little bit every week because I see something new and well, I had to tell myself the same thing today when ten incredible Entertainment Weekly covers for the Eternals came out today. Here they are.

Is The Marketing for ‘Eternals’ Going To Hurt the Movie?

Three weeks ago the teaser trailer for Eternals finally came out. I was so excited. Our first substantial look at the movie that Marvel Studios was keeping so heavily under wraps it felt like an Avengers film was finally here. And then I saw the teaser.

For two minutes the teaser, well, teased the possibilities. We see a horizontal alien vessel approach a coastline where ancient people watch in bewilderment. Inside the ship there are our Eternals, a race of beings created by giant (kind of creepy) space giants called Celestials. They’ve apparently been sent to Earth where they protect humanity and help with our evolution over thousands of years.

At least that’s what Salma Hayek’s Ajak narrates to us as the teaser shows these Eternals interacting with humanity, and each other, in purposely brief clips.

I Can’t Stop Thinking About The ‘Eternals’ Trailer

Yesterday the teaser for Eternals finally came out and even though it wasn’t the greatest teaser I’ve ever seen it was truly stirring, considering that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since yesterday.

The film is already, just from the teaser, visually one of the most impressive movies in the MCU, which is totally expected considering that it’s being made by Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao.

I love that every shot seems basked in a muted sense of color and yet it is the striking simplicity of Zhao’s style that is so fascinating. Nomadland is filled with Zhao’s incredible ability to make the environment the star of the story. Here, we’ll get a chance to see her bring her talent to the MCU and I am ecstatic.

Especially that Marvel Studios has been so secretive about this project. That means that Kevin Feige knows this is a gem and he wants us to be as surprised as possible.

In case you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the trailer.

Gosh, I’m really excited!

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.

Our First Teaser for ‘Eternals’ Has Arrived

Eternals has been one of the most anticipated movies in the MCU since its announcement a couple of years ago but it’s also, next to Loki, been the MCU’s most secretive project. We have been waiting for a teaser trailer for over a year and now…it is here. Check it out.
