‘Hawkeye’: It’s Happening!

It’s happening everybody. The Hawkeye Disney+ series is currently filming and our first look at Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop is here.

It’s official, everyone! Hailee Steinfeld is Kate Bishop and here we see her decked out in her outfit which looks perfect, by the way.

The cast for Hawkeye has been released and now it can also be confirmed that Florence Pugh will be reprising her role as Yelena Belova in this series. Will this series feature a new Black Widow-Hawkeye friendship? One between Kate Bishop and Belova? We’ll see but I’m already loving the series so far and I can’t wait to see its first teaser sometime next year.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

Throwback Friday: Black Widow Is Here To Stay…Just Not in the Way, We Think

Scarlet Johansson will star as Black Widow one more time in the upcoming Black Widow standalone film this fall. However, there are already rumors that, depending on the film’s success, there may be a Black Widow sequel. But how can there be a Black Widow sequel without Scarlet Johansson? Very simple. The Black Widow movie is setting up another story of a new hero. Her name is Yelena Belova.

In the comics, Yelena Belova is chosen at the age of fifteen to become the new Black Widow after Natasha Romanoff’s allegiance to Russia becomes non-existent.

Florence Pugh will play Yelena Belova in Black Widow whose story will be fleshed out in this newest addition to the MCU.

Her relationship with Natasha Romanoff’s character is described as a sisterly-rivalry. I am very confident in the idea that Black Widow will conclude with Natasha handing over the metaphoric baton of the title of Black Widow to Yelena Belova and she, like Natasha Romanoff, will have to prove her loyalty to the world as a good guy in a future Black Widow sequel.

In fact, this could be the secret Black Widow trilogy we have always wanted except with Florence Pugh at the helm in the next two outings. How cool would that be?

With Avengers: Endgame bringing about the end of an era, it seems that the creative minds behind the franchise are looking to either move on to new characters or reboot other characters. It’s why Falcon will become the new Captain America, Spider-Man has become the new Iron Man of sorts, Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster will become the new Thor, She-Hulk will replace The Hulk, Kate Bishop will become the new Hawkeye, and Yelena Belova will be the new Black Widow. Even James Gunn has confirmed that beyond Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 we will see a new Guardians team in the MCU.

Things are changing…fast and I’m excited about the ride.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.

An Exclusive Look at ‘Black Widow’ Highlights More Taskmaster and More Widows

Black Widow is coming out in a few months and while our minds have been preoccupied with Star Wars for the last few months, Marvel is trying to remind us that, yoo-hoo, they have a new movie coming out soon.

Last night we got an exclusive minute-and-a-half long look at Black Widow and I have to admit, I was very impressed. Here it is.

This movie is going to feature so much Widow action! Black Widow, Yelena Belova, Melina Vostakoff, the Widows that are hunting them down. It’s going to be AWESOME! And beyond all of that, there’s Taskmaster, a villain who looks like they’re going to be quite the formidable antagonist.

If the teaser trailer didn’t get you excited I’m sure this exclusive look may have done the trick. I’m so ready!

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.

Black Widow Is Here To Stay…Just Not in the Way We Think

Scarlet Johansson will star as Black Widow one more time in the upcoming Black Widow standalone film set to arrive next May. With filming having come to an official end, at least for now before reshoots may be in order, the Black Widow is well underway and we’ll most likely see a teaser trailer in the coming months or so. However, there are already rumors that, depending on the film’s success, there may be a Black Widow sequel. But how can there be a Black Widow sequel without Scarlet Johansson? Very simple. The Black Widow movie is setting up another story of a new hero. Her name is Yelena Belova.

It has already been confirmed that young actress Florence Pugh, known for her roles in Fighting With my Family and Midsommar, will indeed play Yelena Belova in the Black Widow movie.

Florence Pugh, who is hot off the heels of starring in the critically-acclaimed film, Fighting With My Family, is set to play the “moral opposite” of Johansson’s Black Widow while David Harbour and Rachel Weisz are playing undisclosed roles in the movie.
