Could ‘Eternals’ Be the Best Superhero Movie of the Year?

We have waited a long time for this moment and now, it’s almost upon us; the debut of the Eternals, a race of incredibly powerful aliens created to protect Earth from their eternal enemy, the Deviants.

When this movie was first announced I honestly didn’t think it was going to be that great of a film. Then I watched Chloe Zhao’s Nomadland, I continued to hear Kevin Feige’s immense praise for the film and the director, and nearly every aspect of the movie was being kept a secret from us until we finally got a chance to see the teaser.

Now, with every new clip, the movie looks better and better and now we’re only one month away from seeing a film that honestly has the chance of being one of the best, if not the best, Marvel movies ever made.

Chloe Zhao understands storytelling. That seemed obvious after she managed to make a story about a nomadic woman (played by Frances McDormand) living day by day interesting. Nomadland would go on to win Best Picture and deservedly so. The film was unlike anything else I’d ever seen, it was beautifully directed, and it was, above all else, memorable.

After watching that movie which focused and relied on the profound relationships between the characters and the stunning visuals of real-world settings I knew Eternals was in good hands.

The film, on October 18, will get its worldwide premiere and then on October 24 it will be the last movie to debut at the Rome Film Festival. Feige knows he has a gem on his hands and I am very excited to feast my eyes on that gem in a month.

What about you? Are you counting down the days until Eternals?

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.

The ‘Eternals’ Trailer Has Left Me Stunned

Well, the final trailer for Eternals has arrived and well, it’s amazing. I’m talking literally incredible. The teaser was just that, a tease, but this final trailer answers our most burning questions while introducing us to characters and beings that are literally out of this world. Check it out.

Wow, after having seen this trailer four times I can honestly say it is one of the best, most visually striking Marvel trailers that I’ve ever seen. It still leaves so much to the imagination and yet it perfectly illustrates just how incredible this movie can and probably will be.

These are aliens that look like us but are far more powerful. But it is their love for humanity that drives them to want to live among us and protect us when the time comes. Chloe Zhao understands how to make you care about characters you’ve just met and I already know, judging from this trailer, that I’m going to like these characters a lot.

I already said that the official trailer needed to be better than the teaser and well, Marvel delivered…again! Wow, wow, wow.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.

These New Entertainment Weekly Covers for ‘Eternals’ Are Amazing!

Let me tell you, the 2021 Marvel train has been the greatest entertainment ride I think I’ve had since January. Roughly every week feels like Christmas with a new episode of a Marvel Disney+ series or a new announcement that has managed to blow my mind. And considering that we’re getting so much Marvel content in these last few months, the joy I’ve had about this franchise that I have grown to love so much is almost unbearably intense. I find myself having to tell myself to calm down just a little bit every week because I see something new and well, I had to tell myself the same thing today when ten incredible Entertainment Weekly covers for the Eternals came out today. Here they are.

Our First Teaser for ‘Eternals’ Has Arrived

Eternals has been one of the most anticipated movies in the MCU since its announcement a couple of years ago but it’s also, next to Loki, been the MCU’s most secretive project. We have been waiting for a teaser trailer for over a year and now…it is here. Check it out.

‘Raya and the Last Dragon’ Is Another Great Disney Movie!

As expected Raya and the Last Dragon is perfect! I’m talking funny, breathtakingly beautiful, simply written and yet so effective. Its main character Raya, voiced by the wonderful Kelly Marie Tran, sets herself on a mission to save the world; a classic tale told by thousands. But what makes this story memorable is the heart behind this Disney wonder.

Cinemark Won't Be Playing Disney's 'Raya And The Last Dragon': Here's Why – Deadline

I don’t want to say too much because it’ll give the story away but I was overcome by emotion watching this movie which concludes with a message so profound it made me weep.

It’s the perfect movie to see right now and a delightful treat for little ones. The Southeast-Asian representation was awe-inspiring and so magnificent. I’m not even Asian and I was proud! (It’s just so nice seeing Disney depict these vibrant and diverse cultures so respectfully.) And of course, it has plenty of girl power moments.

All in all, if you’re a fan of Disney this is a must-watch.

95 out of 100 and 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

More Marvel News Has Arrived from D23 Expo

And just when you probably thought there wouldn’t be any more exciting news from D23 Expo this morning happened.

During another panel this morning highlighting more Marvel surprises we learned some rather exciting new information.

Ryan Coogler announced that Black Panther II will be slated for release on May 6, 2022. Yes! Oh, but that’s not all.

Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington and Crazy Rich Asians actress Gemma Chan have been added to the star-studded cast with Harington starring as the superhero Black Knight and Gemma Chan returning for her second role in the MCU (yes, the second role!) as Sersi.

If you’re wondering who Gemma Chan played before in the MCU this picture will instantly remind you.

She played Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel but I think Marvel Studios realized she was too cool to play such a small role in the franchise so what did they do? They upgraded her to play Sersi, one of the most beloved and well-known members of the Eternals. Um, woah.

But that’s still not all! Continue reading More Marvel News Has Arrived from D23 Expo
