My Ranking of the ‘Harry Potter’ Movies (Updated)

I’ve recently done a Harry Potter marathon at which case my feelings for certain films have changed exponentially. So, I have no choice but to change my ranking of these films. Enjoy!

8. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince isn’t a bad movie but compared to the other Harry Potter films it’s kind of a bore. I really do love the end when Harry and Dumbledore go after the fake Horcrux or when Snape has to kill Dumbledore. There’s a lot of emotion in those last few minutes and yeah, who can’t help shedding a tear as Harry cries over Dumbledore’s body. If the whole movie was like the last thirty minutes it’d definitely be higher on this list.

The ‘Harry Potter’ Movies: Ranked from Worst to Best by Rotten Tomatoes

Harry Potter is a franchise as synonymous with iconism as the Star Wars franchise and its movies can be utterly riveting. I happen to love them all and I have a clear comprehension of which order I rank the films but…what does Rotten Tomatoes say? I’m about to find out. Enjoy!

7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1: 77%

harryposter7

Harry Potter and his friends, Ron and Hermione, must go on a dangerous scavenger hunt for the items that, if destroyed, will lead to Voldemort’s death. There’s some romantic drama, revelations, and plenty of Harry Potter goodness, but according to the critics, it’s the worst installment in the Harry Potter series. The Movies that Traumatized Me As a Child

I think every child who watches movies has seen a film as a youngster that scared them half to death. Sometimes it’s not even horror movies but rather simply films with startling moments or scarier themes that can be somewhat traumatizing. As someone who stills gets the heeby-jeebies while, and after, watching a scary movie, I had quite a few frightening experiences watching movies as a child and I’m here to share with you every film (that I can remember) that left me traumatized. Lol, enjoy.

I was shown Jaws for the first time when I was a little girl, maybe seven or eight, and I can still remember recollecting two specific scenes that scared me. One, the scene where Hooper goes down to investigate the shipwreck and sees the dead guy. I still get a bit creeped out at that part because it scared me so badly as a kid.

And then, of course, watching Quint getting eaten for the first time is seared into my memory bank due to the horror of that particular moment. There was so much blood and as a child who still believed in Santa Claus at the time, the Great White looked as real as ever. It was an absolutely terrifying experience. What’s Your Favorite ‘Harry Potter’ Movie?

It’s Sunday and you know what that means; it’s time for another Who’s Your Favorite (or What’s Your Favorite in this case.) The Harry Potter franchise is one of the most beloved franchises in the world as J.K Rowling introduced to a fictional world of wonder full of magic and magical creatures. Harry Potter was the perfect protagonist flanked by the perfect best buddies, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. Voldemort is an impeccable antagonist, for he is truly as frightening as he is supposed to be. And these movies, based on the novels, are utterly outstanding. And that’s why I wanted them to be a part of this week’s segment of Who’s Your Favorite? I hope you enjoy!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is a magical movie through and through because it is the film that introduces fans to the Wizarding World. This is the movie where we see Platform 9 3/4 for the first time, Diagon Alley, Hogwarts, Dumbledore, Voldemort, the Forbidden Forest, Quidditch, etc. There are many other films in the franchise but there is always the beginning of the story and this is a rather magical beginning indeed.

My Experience Binge-Watching ‘Harry Potter’

I don’t watch the Harry Potter movies often. In fact, I might see a Harry Potter movie every three to six months, and I usually only ever watch either Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban or Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. So, this time when I got the urge to watch a Harry Potter movie I decided to binge-watch the series starting with the Prisoner of Azkaban over the course of two days and I had a blast. I had so much fun in fact that I wanted to share with you all my experience watching each film and I hope you enjoy. 🙂

If you’ve read my post talking about my three favorite Harry Potter films you will know that this installment in the eight movie franchise is my favorite of them all. Whenever I get the chance to watch a Harry Potter movie this is the film I always run to because it’s so good. I mean, it starts with Harry Potter turning his terrible aunt into a human balloon! Lol. As Ron would say, “Brilliant.” 🙂

I also love that this movie introduced werewolves because that’s something you don’t normally see in fantasy films. It always used to creep me out when you could hear the werewolves in the Forbidden Forest but to see Professor Lupin become a werewolf is always one part terrifying/one part extraordinary.

And the ending with Harry zipping away on his new broomstick (undoubtedly given to him by his godfather, Sirius Black) is just magical every time I watch it. (*chill bumps*)
