In the last part of this series I recast the main characters of classic Hitchcock movies Rope, North by Northwest, and The Birds. Today, I will recast three more films; Rear Window, The Man Who Knew Too Much, and Shadow of a Doubt. Enjoy!
Shadow of a Doubt is one of Hitchcock’s best movies. In fact, it was Hitchcock’s personal favorite and for good reason. This film builds upon its suspense and is perfectly directed, leading you through the story in a really immersive way.
In it, Joseph Cotton plays the estranged uncle, Charlie Oakley and Teresa Wright plays his niece, Charlie Newton. They are the beating heart of this thriller masterpiece and it is their performances that help make this one of my favorite Hitchcock movies.
But who could play these two? I’ve got just the two actors who would be perfect in these roles.

If you may recall Henry Cavill last year announced that he was done playing Superman, leaving superhero movie fans in slight shock. We all knew Ben Affleck was on his way out but Henry Cavill too? On the heels of his announcement, it was also revealed that Henry Cavill would be taking his talents to another frontier–the global streaming Goliath, Netflix–where he would star in a live-action adaptation of the beloved video games series; The Witcher.
I even have this game stashed away somewhere in a lost vault with all of the other stashed games I own (mainly Wii games.) Funny thing is, I haven’t even played it. I couldn’t take the main character’s deep Batman-like voice. It was grating on my nerves big time. Anyway, off of that.
Netflix is creating an original series coming out later this year bringing the game to life with Henry Cavill starring as the main character. That’s pretty cool. And today the first poster dropped. Here it is. Continue reading A Poster Has Arrived for the new Netflix Original Series: ‘The Witcher’
Breaking News: Henry Cavill isn’t going to assume the role of Superman anymore!
Can you believe that?! I know I can’t believe it.
Just a few hours ago it was announced that Henry Cavill had parted ways with Warner Bros. and the DCEU and will no longer reprise his role as the heroic Kryptonian, Superman. He’ll make one final cameo appearance in the upcoming DC Comics movie, Shazam! which is set to come out next April but after that he will officially be gone.
It’s a stunning announcement and one that easily reveals the inner turmoil in the DC Extended Universe. It’s already been rumored that Ben Affleck would eventually stop being Batman but this is totally unexpected.

After the last James Bond film comes out featuring Daniel Craig a new James Bond will have to be crowned and there’s been a lot of debate on who should play the iconic character. Some think Tom Hiddleston, who you may know for his role as the God of Mischief, Loki, should be the new James Bond. Rumors began circling that Idris Elba would take the role and become the first black James Bond. Those rumors have recently, however, been debunked. And then there are, of course, other British-born actors that could take the role but I think the next man to play the iconic James Bond should be Superman himself, Henry Cavill, and this is why.
1. He’s Handsome
The first aspect that every James Bond needs to have is the looks. Well, Henry Cavill definitely has those in abundance so that’s not going to be a problem. 🙂
