Daniel Craig has become an actor whose films I’ve started to enjoy and I thought it would be fun to highlight him for this week’s A Movie Ranking. So, let’s start this ranking.
5. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
I saw bits and pieces of this film over a month ago and I was like, “What’s this?” I love the recent Tomb Raider game and the newest Tomb Raider movie isn’t great but next to this it looks like The Avengers compared to Justice League. Continue reading A Movie Ranking: Daniel Craig
I love movies and as an avid movie lover, of course, I know about James Bond. Who doesn’t? However, I have never seen a single James Bond movie…until today. And that James Bond film just so happened to be one of the best ones and the debut of Daniel Craig’s take on the “devilishly handsome British agent” known as 007/James Bond: Casino Royale.
I love action movies and I am a HUGE fan of the Mission: Impossible movies and I really like John Wick films as well. James Bond was a whole other ball game. It’s basically the Mission: Impossible films except filled with romantic subplots that act as side scenes between the action. I found myself riveted by the storyline in Casino Royale, mainly the romantic drama toward the end of the film that had me legitimately transfixed to the screen. By the time it went off, I began to understand why people like these movies and this character so much and I now have an interest in seeing Skyfall eventually.
However, I will always be a loyal Ethan Hunt fan. Tom Cruise brings the IMF agent to life as he performs stunts that will BLOW. YOUR. MIND in the later films. And Keanu Reeves is the ultimate assassin as he kicks serious butt for a couple of hours in a very violent fashion.
I’m just glad that my first James Bond experience was such a good one.
I’m giving Casino Royale 95 out of 100 and 4.5 out of 5 stars. It was a pretty entertaining action film and that’s all anyone can ask for really.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Yesterday, the teaser trailer for Black Widow arrived, wowing fans with its Bourne-level, Captain America: The Winter Soldier vibes. Plus, finally seeing a movie that focuses on one of the coolest superheroes ever brought to the big screen is rewarding in itself. Now, the next James Bond movie to arrive since 2015’s Spectre has finally released its trailer, a trailer that, if anything, is action-packed. Check it out.
While the trailer delivers plenty of action and looks at the new characters, specifically Lashana Lynch’s newcomer Nomi, I found the trailer to be okay.
There’s a lot of information in this trailer, including what seems to be scenes from the final battle between Bond and his new white-mask wearing nemesis. Of course, because this is an official trailer and not a teaser, it makes sense that there’s more information being thrown at us but overall, for Bond fans, I’m sure this trailer will entice you.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.
Today the long-awaited Black Widow film’s trailer was finally released, kicking off the trailer releases for some of next year’s biggest blockbusters. If you didn’t know Daniel Craig is currently filming his last James Bond movie, James Bond 25, and while news is scarce it has just been announced that British actress Lashana Lynch, who you may know for her role as Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel, is set to become the new 007.
Yes! You heard correctly. The next 007 is set to be a black woman and I am losing my mind with excitement.
Her debut will be in James Bond 25. All the reason to go see the film next April.
You know, I’m not a James Bond fan. I’ve never watched any of the movies but this, this is making me excited.
How do you feel about Lashana Lynch as the new 007? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.
After the last James Bond film comes out featuring Daniel Craig a new James Bond will have to be crowned and there’s been a lot of debate on who should play the iconic character. Some think Tom Hiddleston, who you may know for his role as the God of Mischief, Loki, should be the new James Bond. Rumors began circling that Idris Elba would take the role and become the first black James Bond. Those rumors have recently, however, been debunked. And then there are, of course, other British-born actors that could take the role but I think the next man to play the iconic James Bond should be Superman himself, Henry Cavill, and this is why.
1. He’s Handsome
The first aspect that every James Bond needs to have is the looks. Well, Henry Cavill definitely has those in abundance so that’s not going to be a problem. 🙂
