It’s getting closer. Dune‘s time is almost upon us and I know for a fact it’s going to be one of the biggest events of the year. The official trailer dropped today and here’s a note; if you’d rather stay in the dark about the story then I really would refrain from watching this trailer because it shows a lot. But nevertheless, here’s the official trailer for Dune.
Epic. That’s all I can think when I see this trailer. It’s going to be an epic experience in IMAX. One that will remain in my heart for years to come.
I’m glad I watched the old Dune movie from 1984 because I can actually look at this and see things that I recognize which is really exciting, to be honest. This looks like a faithful reboot of a story that deserves to be seen on the big screen these days.
The hype is real.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.
I just finished watching Bumblebee and am getting ready to see Aquaman but I figured while I have this break I might as well share with you all my near-live reaction to the film.
Bumblebee is a good movie through and through. Unlike every Transformers movie the story is clear, concise, and very easy to follow. None of the characters are annoying and the themes are very family friendly which is nice to see, considering that children like the Transformers just as much as adults.
I found the movie to be really fun and cute. There were some truly heartfelt moments that brought a tear (actually tears) to my eyes and when a movie can make me cry that means it’s touched my heart in one capacity or another.
Now I’m sharing my reaction to Aquaman. I can honestly say that it was worth every single penny. I’m still whirling from how good this movie was.
The visuals are out of this world amazing. The sound is fantastic, the story is engaging, and Aquaman is AWESOME! I honestly won’t go into any further detail than that because then I wouldn’t be able to stop talking about it.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have had a wonderful day.
Last Tuesday Aquaman became available to buy on Blu-Ray and because I loved the film I totally wanted to buy it. And I did. I’ve watched the film three times since Tuesday and I totally wanted to make it the subject for today’s Who’s Your Favorite?
Both Aquaman and Wonder Woman are the only movies in the current DC Universe that are certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and they have both received wide-acclaim from critics and casual movie viewers alike.
Both films were also presented as origin stories of sorts with each character making their DC Universe debut in Batman vs. Superman. So, on that note, here is a deeper look into each film.
Wonder Woman and Aquaman
Diana Prince, the main antagonist of Wonder Woman, is a powerful heroine whose view of the world of man was naive. She thought the evil that corrupted men’s hearts was only produced by Ares’ tampering but she soon learned that man was easily corruptible and flawed. She almost gave up on mankind but she discovered that yes, humans are flawed, but there is beauty in their imperfections and that there are good people who need her protection. She would end up defeating Ares with love and made it her mission to continue protecting the world by any means necessary from those with evil intentions.
Aquaman is a man born of two worlds; the Land and the Sea. His half-Atlantean roots made him feel that he was unworthy to become King of Atlantis and so he chose to run away from his destiny. But when the time came for a king to be crowned in order to save billions of lives from Orm’s diabolical plan he learned that he was greater than he could possibly have imagined and that he truly was worthy of being a king.
Aquaman came out on Blu-Ray today and after thoroughly enjoying my experience last Christmas I was definitely determined to relive that experience as often as possible. Hence, I bought the Blu-Ray. And I was pleasantly surprised.
While the home experience is nothing like the grandeur of the movie theaters it’s still pretty fantastic. The sound is great, the wow factor of the movie’s more beautiful moments are eye-popping and totally enjoyable on the television screen, and it was just as fun as I remembered.
Is Aquaman the best movie ever made? *chuckles* Definitely not, but it is a fun film with plenty of smile-inducing and extremely pleasing moments.
Now, after seeing the movie a second time there is one blaring mishap of the movie and that is its music. Superhero movies aren’t known for having the best musical scores ever composed but Aquaman‘s score is borderline horrendous.
Every action scene has music that’s grand but falls flat, the emotional moments are accompanied with a cliché piano or something kind of sappy like that, and the songs made for the film could definitely be better, but beyond that this movie is pretty fun.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a splendid day.
If you loved Aquaman like I did I’m sure you have been waiting to find out when the sequel would happen. Well, a release date for Aquaman 2 has been announced today and it looks like we’re going to have a long time to wait, for it’s coming out on December 16, 2022. Yeah, three years from now.
Well, that’s a bummer. I was so hoping we’d get to a sequel maybe next year or in 2021 but it looks like we won’t see the awesomeness of Aquaman for a while yet. The good thing about this news, however, is the fact that the writers hired to write this sequel will have plenty of time to deliver an outstanding script and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Aquaman released a teaser trailer a few months ago and while I did enjoy it to some degree it didn’t exactly entice me to watch it as much as I would’ve hoped. Well, yesterday an extended video for Aquaman came out and so, naturally, I had to check it out. Here it is.
Usually when a movie releases a five-minute! trailer that’s bad news but I have to say, for once, this was one of the smartest decisions I’ve ever seen a movie production do. Warner Bros. knew that people weren’t overwhelmingly excited to see this movie so they decided to show us what this film truly has to offer and I am beyond impressed.
This is honestly the first time I’ve watched one of the DCEU films with as much joy as I watched this trailer. It almost felt like I was watching one of Marvel’s movies as it displayed some fantastic action, lovable characters, and some legitimately good humor. Up to this point I didn’t know how I felt about Aquaman. He looked cool, seemed cool, but he wasn’t able to shine in Justice League. Well, in this movie, he’s clearly going to shine and I. Can’t. WAIT! To see this film!
Aquaman just may be the best movie in the DCEU so far with its incredible directorial vision, awesome looking action, and the sheer concept of Atlantis. I honestly couldn’t be more excited.
What do you think of this extended trailer? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.
