Well, the trailer for Hawkeye just dropped and Marvel Studios has gone full-throttle with the holiday season vibe for this series. Check it out.
This trailer was just…awesome. Like any great trailer, it gave us enough story to understand what’s going on but not enough information to ruin all of the fun surprises this series will undoubtedly deliver.
First off, I already thought that casting Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop would be perfect casting and this trailer just reiterated that fact. I just know she’s going to be hilarious and such a bad*** all at once.
Secondly, this show is going to have some of the best action in the MCU. Mark my words.
Third, I love the music and the Christmas theme. It really feels like we’re getting an end-of-the-year present and I am here for all of it.
Four, I loved this trailer. It was fun, funny, and yeah, quite a bit entertaining. I can’t wait to see this story and how it connects with the wider MCU.
All in all, I’m excited for yet another fantastic Marvel Studios live-action series.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.
Hawkeye is a character that has long been slept on in the MCU and yet he’s managed to play a pivotal supporting role throughout his run in this franchise. I recently saw a post on Instagram that laid out the facts; every team that Hawkeye’s on wins. Don’t believe me? Here are the facts.
When he became one of the core six Avengers they defeated Loki and his army of Chitauri at the Battle of New York.
In Age of Ultron, they managed to beat Ultron on Sokovia and saved the world.
In Captain America: Civil War, he joined Cap’s team and they won, considering that Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes still managed to get away to try and stop the Winter Soldiers.
He wasn’t a part of the fight in Infinity War and The Avengers lost terribly.
He did join the fight in Endgame and well, The Avengers defeated Thanos and saved the universe.
Yeah, Hawkeye’s a secret MVP in the MCU but he’s never got the recognition he deserved…until now.
Hawkeye has always been viewed as the Lame Avenger. In fact, after playing him in The Avengers, Jeremy Renner tried to get the producers to kill off his character so he wouldn’t have to play him anymore. Marvel Studios didn’t oblige him but instead elected to give Clint Barton more depth in Age of Ultron by revealing that the Avenger had a family.
Suddenly, he didn’t seem as boring anymore but that wasn’t the start of an epic story for the character. Instead he continued to plod along as a side character with barely any character development whatsoever. And even though Endgame unleashed a new side of him when he became a killing machine under the new alias Ronin after the loss of his family, his story was still sidelined to make way for the more “important” characters.
Unlike Loki, who has been a fan-favorite since his debut in Thor, Hawkeye has never truly gained the full respect of the Marvel fandom. In fact, for a long time, Hawkeye was the Disney+ series fans were least excited to see…even under Ms. Marvel. But I have a feeling that’s about to change.
(And it’s not because Yelena Belova’s going to play a role in it!)
Being one of the original six Avengers, lots of fans found him to be the most uninteresting addition to the superhero team for his lackluster storyline. The writers tried to spruce up his involvement in the MCU by revealing that he had a family in Age of Ultron but he still sat on the bottom of the totem pole.

And even now, in a recent poll, I did on Twitter asking people which Marvel Disney+ series they were most excited for Hawkeye’s series was unsurprisingly the least voted for.
