The Eternals trailer wasn’t the only Marvel gift we got yesterday. In fact, Kevin Feige dropped a lot of interesting tidbits and I am here to share them all.
Loki’s Season 2 May Not Start Production Until 2023
In case you didn’t know, the series’ director, Kate Herron has moved on to other projects. That means Loki is devoid of a director as of right now. Even though this is slightly depressing news it actually kind of makes sense.
Tom Hiddleston has been rumored for a while to be reprising his role as Loki in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness so it’s almost certain we’ll be seeing the God of Mischief again in another installment of the MCU.
Plus, Kang the Conqueror will be in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Considering that that movie drops in early 2023, if Loki‘s second season does take place after Quantumania‘s storyline we are bound to wait that long to see all of these characters again anyway.
So, while this news was a bit of a bummer it’s actually sensible.
I never thought I’d be writing this post. Four years ago, when Hugh Jackman made his last movie as Logan in Logan it felt like the proper swan song for the character. He died in the film, fans cried, and we all appreciated his dedication to the claw-wielding X-Men.
And yet, randomly in the past two days, Hugh Jackman shared two posts in his Instagram story that has fans, including me, buzzing. Here they are.
Well, I’ve seen the first two episodes of WandaVision and wow, what a premiere! What Kevin Feige has attempted with this series should be a disaster and yet the writer, Jac Schaeffer, has managed to do the impossible; recreate the old-timey tone of the 50s’ and 60s’ sitcoms without making it feel too on-the-nose or just…weird. And yet, this series basks in its weirdness and I love it!
I was rather surprised with the level of humor in this show so far. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany manage to find their inner comedic charm, providing the episodes the proper tone without ever feeling forced or unnatural.
There are two new Marvel movies coming out this year. One that is a prequel focusing on now-deceased Avenger Black Widow and one that features a brand new cast of characters to explore and to fall in love with in Eternals. Black Widow has had a couple of trailers and some posters to give us an idea of what to expect with the Winter Soldier-esque Marvel movie and Eternals is still as mysterious as mysterious can be. However, maybe these two synopses can shed a greater light on what to expect with this film. Check them out.
Hearts were broken and Twitter exploded as it was released a few weeks ago that Sony had reclaimed Spider-Man from Marvel Studios after a disagreement over a contract. It was devastating news, especially after seeing the incredible story and jaw-dropping moments provided by Spider-Man: Far from Home.
Well, Sony and Disney have reached a deal and it seems that we will, indeed, be getting a third Spider-Man movie connected to the MCU on July 16, 2021. Yes, 2021 will deliver us four! Marvel films.
When I heard the news I literally jumped up and down, pumping my fist in the air with unadulterated joy about this super exciting development. So yes, we can all rest assured that we will see the events of that jaw-dropping post-credit scene play out in a fantastic third Spider-Man film!
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fabulous day.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe; it’s one of the greatest franchises ever assembled. And watching over it all like The Watchers himself is Kevin Feige, the ultimate mastermind. He has helped personally oversee all 23 films, creating a clear and concise vision for these movies that has never strayed and only grown into goliath blockbusters that drive people to the movie theaters in legitimate excitement.
And now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that Kevin Feige is ready to walk across the hall to Disney’s other galactic-sized franchise, Star Wars, and create an unknown film that will arrive sometime in the next decade.
I have personally always wanted to see this and the prospect that we may actually get a Kevin Feige-helmed Star Wars movie is beyond exciting to think about.
How do you feel about this announcement? Do you like the idea of Marvel’s main genius becoming one with the Force and creating a Star Wars film? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day. May the Force be with you.
