Throwback Friday: Which Characters Should Appear in Cassian’s Live-Action Series?

When it was announced that there was going to be a live-action series on Disney+ focusing on fan-favorite Cassian Andor I couldn’t believe it. I was and still, am so excited about this news. Cassian is my favorite Rogue One character and with this series, he can finally get the backstory that he so absolutely deserves. But there’s another exciting element to this news and that is the idea that other awesome characters can make appearances in this series. Characters we all know and love and haven’t been given enough time to shine. So, on that note, here’s a list of characters that I think could make some surprise appearances on the show.

Mon Mothma

Mon Mothma has played an important leadership role in the Rebellion for many years and as obvious from the movie she has a relationship with Cassian as his superior. I think it is inevitable to see her make an appearance or two in the series.

Darth Vader

While it’s pretty likely that Cassian and Darth Vader will most likely never cross paths there is always a slight possibility that it could potentially. Maybe on one of Cassian’s spy missions, he’ll see Vader from afar or just barely manage to avoid him. That could be very entertaining.

I Am So Excited for ‘The Mandalorian’!

The Mandalorian is the first live-action Star Wars series ever made and let me tell you, after watching the panel yesterday, seeing the leaked teaser trailer and behind-the-scenes footage, and looking at the images it’s pretty clear, I am SO PUMPED for this show.

It’s like a dream come true. I have always wanted to watch a Star Wars series in live-action and I thought it would never happen. With The Mandalorian dropping in November, I am just…ecstatic. This show is going to be so off the chain I just am at a loss of words. So, on that note, here are the latest photos for The Mandalorian.

Carl Weathers, who is known mostly for his iconic role in the Rocky films as Apollo Creed (and who is clearly one of my favorite actors of all time), is coming to another iconic franchise as a bounty hunter guild leader named Greef Carga. That sounds 100% awesome. To be the head of a guild of bounty hunters means you have to be one tough cookie and I can’t wait to see him in this show.

Another main character on the show is Gina Carano’s Cara Dune who is an ex-Rebel shock trooper. I’ve seen her in action in the leaked teaser and let me assure you, she’s undoubtedly going to be one of the coolest heroines in the franchise. I am straight up already in love with this character and I haven’t even fully seen her yet.

And finally, there’s the lead of the show, The Mandalorian himself played by yours truly, Pedro Pascal. I don’t care, I’m going to say it. Jango and Boba Fett are nowhere near as cool as The Mandalorian. His outfit is ridiculously amazing looking and his rifle, oh my goodness, it is hands down one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

The Mandalorian is going to be set five years after the Empire fell. Whether the story is actually good or not I don’t even care because the action presented in the leaked teaser and leaked behind-the-scenes footage looks AMAZING!

If you think you liked Rogue One or Solo this is going to be a definite must-watch.

Nick Nolte Joins ‘The Mandalorian’

Recent news surrounding the casting of The Mandalorian has excited Star Wars fans as we learned the news that Narcos actor, Pedro Pascal would play the lead of the live-action series, Deadpool actress/WWE fighter Gina Carano also was revealed to play a lead in the show, and now it’s been announced that 3-time Oscar-nominated actor, Nick Nolte is also set to join the series.

I haven’t seen any of his movies but I’m sure he will be a great addition to the show. He also has a rugged look which will perfectly match the undoubtedly gritty style of the series.

This is great news and my excitement for this series is growing! 🙂

More News Involving ‘The Mandalorian’ Has Arrived!

Yesterday it was reported that Narcos actor Pedro Pascal was potentially joining The Mandalorian for the lead role which was undoubtedly an exciting prospect but now more casting news has arrived.

It seems that Deadpool actress, Gina Carano, is set to join Pedro Pascal in a lead role in the upcoming live-action series. Of course, this hasn’t been officially announced by Star Wars yet but with The Hollywood Reporter breaking the news it definitely seems legitimate.
