Disney Investor Day: Marvel Edition

All of the Star Wars news was undoubtedly exhilarating to learn about but the news that knocked me off my feet was all of that thrilling Marvel Studios news. Marvel Studios has grown into a monopoly I trust wholeheartedly and so, because of that, when they announce something I feel no reservations. Instead, I am overcome with so much joy and excitement that I pretty much don’t even think about Star Wars for that duration of time.

It was announced during Thursday’s Disney Investor Day that we would in fact be getting four! Marvel Disney+ series next year and so, with that being said, let’s look at them.

Iman Vellani Is Ms. Marvel

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has found its live-action Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in Iman Vellani, a young actress whose IMDb page begins with Ms. Marvel. Yeah, she has not acted in anything prior to this extraordinary debut. Wow!

She apparently stuck the landing, catching the eye of Kevin Feige and the other masterminds behind the franchise goliath and I am so excited! She will one day be standing alongside The Avengers in battle which is an exciting thought.

I’m so happy for her and I think she is so cute. I have a feeling she’ll be another diamond-in-the-rough like Tom Holland and if that is the case, her Disney+ series should be very fun to watch.

Considering that production is well underway with this new Marvel Studios project, I have a feeling that we might be getting Ms. Marvel next year, if all goes according to plan.

What do you think? Will Ms. Marvel come out next year? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.

Movie Review Flashback: My Review of ‘Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors’

In case you’ve got Disney+, here’s an old review of the animated Marvel film, Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors. Enjoy!

I’ve just recently gotten interested into Marvel’s animated cartoons and so I decided to watch Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors. I thought it was a tv show but it actually was a tv movie and for the most part I enjoyed it. Continue reading Movie Review Flashback: My Review of ‘Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors’

Throwback Friday: Here are 5 Characters I Hope Will Be in Phase 4 of the MCU

On June 15 of this year, I wrote a post sharing the five superheroes I wanted to see in Phase 4 of the MCU. Here’s a look back at my choices and which ones actually ended up correct, which is amazing! Enjoy!

Monica Rambeau

Monica Rambeau’s debut was in Captain Marvel. Like Cassie Lang in the Ant-Man films, she was inspired by her superhero co-parent, in this case, it would be Carol Danvers, and she wanted to help fight the bad guys.

The events of Avengers: Endgame, which mostly takes place in the year 2023, is twenty-eight years after Captain Marvel. That means Monica Rambeau, by Avengers: Endgame is in her late thirties’. If Marvel follows her story like in the comics then that means she’s surely a superhero by that time. Maybe in a future film, we’ll get to see Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau team up in the ultimate heroine-duo as two flying bolts of pure power. Wow. Now that’s a thought.

Here are 5 Characters I Hope Will Be in Phase 4 of the MCU

Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is coming. With Spider-Man: Far from Home releasing in theaters worldwide in a few weeks it’s impossible not to think about the future and the incredible new characters we can expect to see. While there are many heroes that are still alive and kicking heading into Phase 4 there are some that may not be a part of The Avengers right now but have already been planted in the MCU. And today I’m going to list five heroes that I’m really anxious to see join the ranks of heroes in the future. Enjoy!

Throwback Friday: The MCU’s Phase 4 Needs To Bring These Twelve Characters To Life

With Captain Marvel coming out today Phase 4 of the MCU is drawing closer and closer. So for this week’s Throwback Friday I’m listing twelve characters that would be fantastic in upcoming Marvel movies. Enjoy!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been around for ten years and it doesn’t look like the franchise is coming to an end anytime soon. With Avengers: Endgame about to bring a conclusion to a 22-movie storyline, a new journey is going to begin and that means new heroes will have to arrive to save the day. But who will those new heroes be? I’m not going to pretend that I’m an expert on Marvel characters (I am not) but I have done some research and discovered some very cool characters that could be central pieces to this evolving story. So, here are the characters I would love to see debut in the upcoming Phase 4 of the MCU.

1. Hawkeye (Kate Bishop)

The older Avengers’ reign is coming to an end (quickly) and that means we need new heroes to take their place. With Spider-Man’s debut in Captain America: Civil War the idea of the Young Avengers coming to fruition could easily become something very special and Kate Bishop/Hawkeye is a perfect candidate for that youthful organization.

It’s also perfect because her storyline is simple. She grew up idolizing Hawkeye (he was her favorite Avenger) and decided when she got old enough to follow his footsteps as a bow-wielding superhero. Sounds great if you ask me.
