Throwback Friday: The Tragedy of Love in ‘Star Wars’

eI decided to take a vastly different approach by focusing on the tragic outcomes of these romantic relationships in this incredible franchise. I mean, think about it. Every love story ends badly. Don’t believe me? Well, read on.

 Cliegg Lars and Shmi Skywalker

Anakin Skywalker carries his mother

When Anakin Skywalker left Tatooine with Qui-Gon Jinn his mother Shmi was left behind. However, a man named Cliegg Lars would go on to marry her and they would have a happy life together…until Tusken Raiders captured her in the night and tortured her to death. Talk about a tragic ending. Continue reading Throwback Friday: The Tragedy of Love in ‘Star Wars’

This Was the Episode of ‘The Clone Wars’ I’ve Been Looking For

The last four episodes of The Clone Wars were somewhat fun but overall I was heavily disappointed. With the first four episodes featuring some exciting action sequences and great character development, the next four episodes were a bit…blah in comparison. Well, it’s very clear that these last four episodes detailing “The Siege of Mandalore” are going to be absolutely incredible if this ninth episode is anything to go by. It had everything!

Anakin and Obi-Wan’s hilarious banter, some great music that left me feeling so many levels of nostalgia, Ahsoka and Anakin’s reunion that got me surprisingly emotional, and lots and lots of action. Next week’s episode is going to be awesome!!! and I can’t wait to see what happens!

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day. May the Force be with you.

‘The Clone Wars’ Delivers a Riveting Second Episode

The Clone Wars is back and its second episode reaffirmed that by giving the fans what we wanted; more Anakin, some Obi-Wan and some Padme, all with the new clones and fan-favorite, Captain Rex, leading the story. The action was ramped up, the story feels like it’s getting somewhere, and the realization that the entire season takes place during the timeline of Revenge of the Sith is beyond exciting.

This Friday the story should get even more interesting after the second episode’s intriguing conclusion and I’m hoping that it’s all leading to the horrifying slight-reveal of the clones troopers’ eventual doom at the hands of Order 66. Ooh, this is going to be a fun ride.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day. May the Force be with you.

The Tragedy of Love in ‘Star Wars’

Last Valentine’s Day, I shared a post ranking the romantic moments in Star Wars from worst to best. This year, I decided to take a vastly different approach by focusing on the tragic outcomes of these romantic relationships in this incredible franchise. I mean, think about it. Every love story ends badly. Don’t believe me? Well, read on.

‘The Clone Wars’ Releases a Trailer and Poster

The Clone Wars‘ final season is on the horizon and the trailer/poster dropped yesterday. If you’ve watched the beloved Star Wars cartoon you will know that its jaw-dropping conclusion in 2013 felt incomplete. We wanted more. We wanted to know what happened to Ahsoka Tano. We wanted to know just exactly how the events of Revenge of the Sith came about. All of that will be explained in this final season and I am pumped!

Here’s the official trailer.

Pretty awesome, right? Knowing that the final season will also take place during the events of Revenge of the Sith is not only exciting but a chilling thought. Will we have to relive the fateful Order 66, will we finally get the full tale of Ahsoka’s disappearance and why her return in Star Wars: Rebels was so fascinating? Oh my goodness, I have so many questions. Questions that will be answered in the coming months. Yes! Continue reading ‘The Clone Wars’ Releases a Trailer and Poster
