‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Is a Disaster

I’m sitting here stunned by what I have just seen. Yesterday I watched Wonder Woman and yeah, it has its annoying moments, but overall, it’s a solid superhero film. Wonder Woman 1984 is the exact opposite of Wonder Woman.

Its action scenes, save for the first one in the film’s first twenty minutes, are lame and provide no sense of wonderment. Its story is trying so desperately to speak a profound message that it collapses into its own goals, becoming something that just takes too long to reach something special. And then finally when it seems like the story is going somewhere the climax arrives and it’s just…lame!

Disney Investor Day: ‘Star Wars’ Edition

Last night happened. What do I mean by that? It was the annual Disney Investor Day and this time, we got to share in the awesome proceedings. Last night during a streamable event, people were given the opportunity to see what’s coming new to theaters and its streaming services over the next few years. And to everyone’s great surprise, 10 Star Wars projects were announced among a bunch of other shocking and stunning news.

Three of the projects were expected: the Cassian Andor Disney+ series, the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series, and the new animated series, The Bad Batch. However, it was the other seven announcements that shattered the internet and left my brain reeling with absolute shock. So, with that being said, let’s take a look at these new projects.

‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Is Getting Good Reviews!

The reactions are out and surprisingly, they are overwhelmingly positive. Critics are touting the Wonder Woman to be “uplifting” and “extremely ambitious” and the only gripe that I’m seeing is the idea that it’s a really long movie but hey, I love a good, long movie!

So, here’s a few reactions.

So yeah, it looks like Wonder Woman 1984 is going to be quite the fun experience on Christmas. Thank you, Warner Bros!

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a terrific day.

I Have a Surprise

DC Fandome is coming this Saturday and considering my excitement I shared a tweet praising the No Man’s Land sequence in Wonder Woman and how excited I am for the trailer for Wonder Woman 1984. Well, it caught the eye of some people and guess what? Patty Jenkins responded. Take a look!

In a fun Q&A post on @WonderWomanFilm’s Twitter account yesterday my question about the trailer was the last question to be answered which absolutely BLEW. MY. MIND!!! I was so excited. I couldn’t believe that this simple tweet that I had posted about a couple of weeks ago would be highlighted in such a way. It was so exciting that I, of course, had to share it with you all.

I’m really looking forward to this trailer and whatever surprises lie in store.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

I’m Sorry To Say It But I’m Not Excited for ‘Wonder Woman 1984’

Two years ago I couldn’t wait to see Wonder Woman. It was the first time a female superhero from DC Comics was being featured in a standalone film and after Gal Gadot stole the show in Batman vs. Superman I just knew it was going to be awesome. Wonder Woman was disappointing, to say the least, and its sequel doesn’t seem to be doing too well either. It was supposed to come out in June but was pushed until next June, which was a bit of a bummer.

Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor is coming back, which doesn’t make sense considering that he died.

And the movie is set in the 80s’ which means we’ll get cheesy 80s’ references, famous 80s’ songs, and who knows what other 80s’ nonsense that’ll distract from the movie just being a good Wonder Woman movie.

Honestly, I wish I could say I’m buzzing with excitement to see this film but honestly, I’m not. Yeah, I’m eager to see the teaser, whenever that’ll be. (Rumors are saying it’ll arrive in December alongside The Rise of Skywalker.) Yeah, I’m definitely going to go see it next year because why not? But I’m nowhere near as interested in the film as Black Widow, unfortunately.

Missed seeing the first official poster? Here it is. Continue reading I’m Sorry To Say It But I’m Not Excited for ‘Wonder Woman 1984’

‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Gets Its First Poster

As you may or may not know, the highly-anticipated sequel to Wonder WomanWonder Woman 1984, was originally set to come out this June but was pushed to next year. While we may not be able to see Diana Prince return to fight the bad guys and inspire the world with her awesomeness it seems that Patty Jenkins is getting us warmed up for this superhero sequel with a surprise poster featuring the film. Check it out.

There’s no doubt that it’s pretty cool looking. The film, of course, is set in the 80s’ and it seems that DC Comics is making sure that’s apparent through the marketing for the movie. Wonder Woman looks absolutely fantastic in her suit of armor…but (and there’s always a but with DC Comics) why is her armor different?

As you can see on this poster her suit of armor looks much different than in the previous DC Comics movies. See here.
