‘WandaVision’ Is Exceptional!

Well, I’ve seen the first two episodes of WandaVision and wow, what a premiere! What Kevin Feige has attempted with this series should be a disaster and yet the writer, Jac Schaeffer, has managed to do the impossible; recreate the old-timey tone of the 50s’ and 60s’ sitcoms without making it feel too on-the-nose or just…weird. And yet, this series basks in its weirdness and I love it!

I was rather surprised with the level of humor in this show so far. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany manage to find their inner comedic charm, providing the episodes the proper tone without ever feeling forced or unnatural.

Will ‘WandaVision’ Be Too Weird For Its Britches?

WandaVision is just a little over a month away and as six posters were released in the last few days for the series I don’t know what to think. Here they are.

Each poster represents a different decade for each episode. The question is, will this show be good? The actors have been excited about it ever since they read its script, heralding it for its weird wackiness and its exhilarating storyline.

Of course, all of this is leading up to whatever Wanda Maximoff’s storyline will entail in Phase 4 of the MCU and I have a feeling this show is building to the moment when she becomes an antagonist. The thought is very exciting but after The Mandalorian I’m just hoping that this show can be good too.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day.

‘WandaVision’ Finally Gets a Trailer

Yes! Finally! Marvel Studios has given us a tangible look at something new and it isn’t The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (ūüė≠) but instead is WandaVision (ūüėĀ). I’m so ready for this show because this trailer looks fantastic in all of its weirdness. There’s a moment that struck me, I mean it literally made me gasp and stop in my tracks. I’ll talk about it in a second but first, here’s the trailer.

‘WandaVision’ Is Becoming the Marvel Disney+ Series I’m Most Looking Forward To This Year

When it was first announced last year the sleight of Disney+ series coming to the streaming service pertaining to the MCU¬†WandaVision¬†wasn’t one of the series I was most excited to see. Of course, I was very intrigued to see Scarlet Witch and Vision back together again but the concept of the series felt a bit strange and I didn’t know what to feel about the series.

Now, after the short teaser released footage for¬†WandaVision, my intrigue in this series has grown more and more. And mainly because I feel that this series will feature some of the best (and strangest) storytelling in the MCU. Nothing like it has been made before under Marvel Studios, making this something that feels fresh and new. You Wouldn’t Believe Who’s Missing from the ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Credits

After watching the AMAZING credits for Avengers: Endgame for the first time yesterday I was thoroughly pleased in seeing so many important characters throughout the MCU highlighted in the credits. It truly made it feel like this was the end of an era. The end of the Infinity Saga.

But after watching the credits my sister pointed something out to me and once I realized it I was stunned. Paul Bettany, who of course plays fellow Avenger/keeper-of-the-Soul- Stone, Vision was not included in the credits. My jaw dropped. How could this be?!

Vision is easily one of the most important characters in the MCU and Paul Bettany’s involvement in the franchise goes back to¬†Iron Man¬†when his only role was to voice Tony Stark’s AI companion, JARVIS. How in the world could Natalie Portman who, until¬†Endgame¬†and now the upcoming¬†Thor¬†sequel,¬†Thor: Love and Thunder, had practically been written out of the franchise be in the credits but Paul Bettany couldn’t. I don’t know whether to be outraged or simply saddened by this egregious blunder.

What happened? Did Paul Bettany accidentally leak¬†Endgame¬†spoilers and so they said he couldn’t be acknowledged in the credits? Did he step on Marvel Studios execs’ toes? Why is Paul Bettany not in the credits?!

It’s honestly a blaring shame.

I thank you for reading this saddening observation and I hope you have a tremendous day.
