It’s Official: ‘Frozen II’ Is Better than ‘Frozen’

(This is a throwback.)

When I watched Frozen II for the first time there were some things I liked about it but ultimately I found it confusing and not as enjoyable as the first one. The Academy apparently agreed with my initial assumption and didn’t award the film an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Movie but after a year and three viewings I’ve reached a different conclusion; Frozen II is better than Frozen.

I’ve started coming to this realization after my second viewing earlier this year which opened my eyes to the story and left me dazzled by the complexity/darkness of the film’s plot. This wasn’t your typical Disney princess story or a typical Disney movie in general? There were no arched eyebrow-ed antagonists or cackling broads to combat. In fact, there wasn’t really a villain at all.

It was a story of personal transformation, of righting the wrongs of the past, and truth. It’s a beautiful story and a powerful conclusion to a story that already pushed the boundaries with Frozen.

Fan Art Wednesday

This week has has been amazing in terms of fan art and I can’t wait to share these pieces with you. Enjoy!

All of these pieces are so fascinating in their own special ways. My favorite is definitely the Happy Hour on Nevarro piece which is absolute perfection. It continues the story from Chapter 12: The Siege and looks like a fantastic piece of concept art. It was even given a shoutout by Gina Carano herself. 😱

This week’s art has been one of the best features I’ve ever done, and that’s saying something. What will I share next week? We’ll see…we’ll see…

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

The Teaser for ‘Frozen 2’ Is Here!

Oh my goodness, I love Frozen! I never thought I would say that because so much hype has surrounded the film but yes, I’m a fan. Frozen retold the classic princess fairy tale in an exciting way, hence making a film that children and adults can fall in love with. When it was announced there would be a Frozen sequel I was skeptical but excited. And now, finally, the official teaser trailer is here. Enjoy!

This is a perfect trailer. It shows the characters that we have grown to love embarking on a mysterious journey to who knows where to face an unknown foe, threat, or whatever they’re trying to find. I love it.

This trailer sucked me in for its two-minute runtime and when it concluded I found myself ready for more. That’s the beauty of a teaser trailer. It shows you all of your favorite characters but keeps the film’s plot a massive secret. I love it.

Disney is making a push with their movies and so that leaves me with the obvious question. Will we something from Episode IX sooner rather than later? Only Mickey Mouse knows. Lol.

What did you think about this trailer? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a magical day.
