The 5 Reasons Why ‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3’ Is the Future Marvel Movie I’m Most Excited to See

Avengers: Endgame wasn’t just a phenomenal conclusion to an amazing eleven years of storytelling. It was also the thrilling beginning of what will probably be eleven more years of breathtaking awesomeness. Yes we have had to say goodbye to some fan favorites like Iron Man, Captain America/Steve Rogers, Black Widow, etc. but there are some new heroes on the horizon that will surely make us look at this era in the way we look at The Avengers; it’s a great movie but gosh it can be boring…and old.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is one of the films we can look forward to seeing in the next couple of years or so and it’s destined to be a smash hit. With James Gunn returning to guide the movie to where it needs to be I have no doubt in my mind that it has the potential to be one of the best Marvel movies ever made. But what is it that has me so pumped to see the wacky Guardians for the third film? Well, that’s what I’m here to share with you. Enjoy! Here’s a List of all of the Names Rocket Has Been Called

Rocket has evolved into one of my favorite characters in the MCU over the course of his four movies but one of the reasons I love him so much is the comedy relief he can bring to these films.

Rocket is a strange dude. I mean, he’s a raccoon for crying out loud. But there’s a recurring joke created on his expense as characters who meet him for the first time name him a different animal every time. It’s absolutely hilarious and so today I wanted to list all of the names and the exchanges (that I can remember) so far. Enjoy!

Star-Lord: “I’ve had a lot of people try to kill me over the year. I ain’t about to be brought down by a tree and a talking raccoon.”

Rocket: “What’s a raccoon?”

Star-Lord: “What’s a raccoon? It’s what you are, stupid.”

Lol. Hilarious.

My Ten Favorite Marvel Superheroes: The Updated Version

It’s been nearly two weeks since Avengers: Endgame entered theaters and in that time I saw the movie twice. With every Avengers movie, my list of favorite Marvel superheroes changes a little bit and after Endgame my list definitely needs some serious altering. So, on that note, here are my latest ten favorite Marvel superheroes. Enjoy!

10. Ant-Man

antgiantman.jpg

I really, really like Ant-Man. Not only are his movies very, very enjoyable but seeing him interact with The Avengers was just…so natural and perfect. His humor in the film was perfect and whenever he turns into Giant Man a gigantic smile plasters my face with happiness. There was no way I wasn’t having Ant-Man on this list.

9. Black Widow

blackwidowpreparedtoshoot-e1547481105646.png

For a long while I wasn’t a Black Widow fan but after Captain America: The Winter Soldier she easily began to have one of my favorite stories in the MCU. I love that she was afforded such a heroic deed in Endgame. A lot of times those sort of heroic moments are only given to the male characters in a story, making her sacrifice all the more impactful.

Plus, she’s got some really sweet fighting skills. 😁

8. Scarlet Witch

scarletwitchfights.jpg

Scarlet Witch is one of those characters who gets cooler and cooler with every movie. I already liked her in Avengers: Age of Ultron but to see the magnitude of her power is simply incredible. Watching her take on Thanos (and nearly defeat him) is clearly her shining moment in the MCU.

7. Thor

thorandfriends.jpg

Thor is awesome, there’s no doubt about it. At one time he was one of my least favorite characters in the MCU but after Marvel fixed his storyline and made him a mixture of comic relief and epicness I have loved Thor ever since.

And the fact that Thor now looks like melted ice cream is also very hilarious.

6. Captain Marvel

capmarvelflying.jpg

I was hoping that when I eventually saw Captain Marvel I would like her as the newest addition to the MCU family. I don’t like her. I love her. Her superhero moment in Captain Marvel is chill-inducing, her role in Endgame was utter perfection, and I LOVE the fact that she’s such a powerful character. I can’t wait to see her again in future Marvel movies.

5. Captain America

capairporthuge.jpg

One of the reasons why I love Captain America is his neverending fight to save humanity. No matter how much you beat him down as long as there is breath in his body he will get back up and continue to fight. I love that.

Plus the fact that he can wield Mjolnir (and use it so well by the way) is just…ah, I love it!

4. Hawkeye

hawkeyeredlight.jpg

If you had told me last year that by the end of Endgame I would like Hawkeye more than Captain America I would’ve been excited but I wouldn’t have believed it. After seeing Endgame twice now it’s official, Hawkeye is one of the coolest characters in the MCU.

I’ve always loved Hawkeye since The Avengers but he was never given a really enticing story. My intrigue for his character heightened after Avengers: Age of Ultron when I learned that he had a family. But then again he was relegated to a smaller role in the franchise as he basically played a cameo appearance in Captain America: Civil War. Since then we hadn’t seen Hawkeye and then when he returned in Endgame he was finally given the love that he deserved.

Not only is he actually given a tantalizing story but he’s just so freaking cool. The sword, the new outfit, the new hairstyle, everything about Hawkeye has received a worthy upgrade and I thank Marvel for finally making him the cool hero I always knew he could be.

3. Rocket

rocketwithagun.jpg

Gosh, I love Rocket. He may be a raccoon but he is clearly the most sensible character in the franchise. At the beginning of his story, he tried to act like someone who isn’t very fond of saving the day but it soon became apparent that he was a bona fide hero. In both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame he has been given the chance to shine in ways that he didn’t have before. We’ve seen at his most serious, we’ve seen him reveal that more emotional side of himself, and we’ve seen him slap the crap out of the God of Thunder. What more do we need in life?

2. Iron Man

ironman.jpg

For a long while, Iron Man was my favorite Marvel superhero and there’s a reason. He’s an amazing character. Avengers: Endgame was more than just a superhero ensemble movie. It was a perfectly constructed conclusion to Iron Man’s story, highlighting him in the most heroic ways. When he saved the universe from decimation by Thanos’s will I cried so hard. This is a character that deserved a beautiful sendoff and I just am thankful that I’ve had the opportunity to see these incredible movies in my lifetime.

1. Doctor Strange

doctorstrangenewyorksweep.jpg

Is this even a surprise? Doctor Strange is and probably will always be my favorite Marvel superhero. If anyone manages to take his crown that hero will have to be the greatest and coolest superhero ever brought to the big screen because I am a straight-up Doctor Strange fan.

So, this is my updated list from last year. It’s a big difference considering that last year’s list looked like this:

  1. Doctor Strange
  2. Thor
  3. Spider-Man (It’s a shame because I really wanted to fit Spider-Man into my updated list but he barely missed the cut.)
  4. Iron Man
  5. Star-Lord
  6. Black Panther
  7. Captain America
  8. Black Widow
  9. Scarlet Witch
  10. Bucky

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.

A Six-Year Poster Evolution: Rocket

Sorry everyone for missing my post for this series yesterday. With the teaser for The Rise of Skywalker dropping my brain was totally occupied with everything Star Wars, so I completely forgot to drop the next set of posters. But, I’m back to the nitty-gritty so today Rocket is featured. Fun!

Rocket is totally one of the coolest characters in the MCU. First off, he’s a raccoon and yet somehow watching him run around with a giant gun in his tiny hands and talking cold smack about everybody doesn’t seem weird. In fact, it’s perfect. I liked Rocket as soon as he showed up in Guardians of the Galaxy and now, five years later, I can’t wait to see this next chapter of his story. So let’s get to his posters.

Guardians of the Galaxy

With his ferocious expression and giant gun in hand, it’s pretty clear that Rocket isn’t one to trifle with.

Who’s Your Favorite Guardian of the Galaxy?

Marvel has introduced over two dozen fascinating and fabulous superheroes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some of the most memorable of these wonderful characters have been, undoubtedly, the Guardians of the Galaxy. While they are clearly a bunch of misfits they have grabbed the hearts of Marvel fans and casual moviegoers around the world with their uncanny heroism. But which of these lovable scoundrels is your favorite? That’s what I’m here to ask you on this week’s segment of Who’s Your Favorite? Here are the characters.

Groot

grootandgirl.jpg

Groot is practically the Chewbacca of the MCU. He’s big and represents the brute strength of the Guardiab, he speaks a foreign language in the form of “I am Groot” which we, as moviegoers, can’t understand, and he’s awfully sweet and kind (at least every version of Groot except the teenage Groot.) Groot is one of the coolest, most original characters I have ever seen in a movie and that’s why he’s so awesome.

Ranking the Guardians of the Galaxy; from Least Cool to Coolest

When the Guardians of the Galaxy were getting ready to make their MCU debut in 2014 I was highly skeptical about how well the movie was going to do because it was so strange. Marvel was taking us viewers to places we had never seen before and introducing us to aliens and characters as wildly different as a talking raccoon. You would think a superhero movie with a talking raccoon! would be an ultimate flop but to my great surprise it wasn’t. In fact, it’s still one of the best Marvel movies ever made as its simple storyline has become more and more enjoyable over the years. Now with the Guardians officially meeting The Avengers in Infinity War their cool points have risen a lot, as I got to see how truly incredible they really are as the Guardians of the Galaxy. The other day I watched the Guardians of the Galaxy and as I was watching the film I asked myself which Guardian did I enjoy the most? Well, that’s what I’m here to share with you and I hope you enjoy.

Mantis

mantisthor.jpg

The one good thing about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was that it introduced Mantis to the MCU and I’m so glad she ended up becoming a Guardian. What makes the Guardians so hilariously awesome is the wackiness of its occupants. Take Mantis for example. In a word she’s weird…but that’s why she’s so great. Only in the Guardians will you see characters as unique as Mantis and that’s why I love them so much.

Groot

I am Groot. Translated: Groot is awesome. 🙂
