My mother’s been telling me to watch A Beautiful Mind for practically a year now. I’ve been putting it off because I thought I knew what the movie was about. I soon discovered that the movie was nothing like I expected. Deservedly winning Best Picture, A Beautiful Mind struck me with its bold storytelling that had me on the edge of my seat. I didn’t know what was going to happen, I didn’t know the story would end, all I knew was that the movie was good as crap.
The most recent film I watched involving Russel Crowe was the ridiculous and absolutely horrible movie called The Mummy where he portrayed Dr. Henry Jekyll. I was, and still, very livid that he would stoop down to a role (and movie) as terrible as that when he is SUCH a good actor. A Beautiful Mind only sharpened my anger. With one week left until the event of the year, The Rise of Skywalker, it’s time to look at the posters for the anthology films in the franchise, Solo: A Star Wars Story and Rogue One. Enjoy!
Solo is the lowest-grossing Star Wars film of all time and it’s understandable why that’s the case. The marketing for the movie did nothing to entice fans and it all begins with the posters. I’ve found several interesting posters for the movie but compared to the posters for the other Star Wars films, these pale in comparison. It’s almost only three weeks until Solo: A Star Wars Story zooms into theaters and we’ll finally get to see if this new Star Wars film, which features the story of a young Han Solo, will be yet another win for Disney and the Star Wars franchise. But until then more footage of the anticipated second Star Wars Story has arrived and it’s kind of awesome! Check it out.
What excites me the most about this featurette is all of the incredible new footage laced throughout its two minute and seven second run time. Not only does this footage give us an even deeper look into Han’s character and some of the experiences that he’s been through but it also just looks like a very beautiful movie. The locations, the settings, the cinematography. If anything, this movie will get a high score for visual prowess and that’s always a plus when it comes to a fantastic Star Wars movie.
I’m also loving the smuggler vibe that surrounds this film. Most of these characters…they’re kind of the scum of the galaxy and so it’s going to be interesting seeing Han navigate through a life where everyone he works with could back stab him at any second. That’s kind of rough and it’s going to undoubtedly be a little tough for him, especially as a younger man, but he’s going to learn a lesson so tremendous that it’ll make sense that by the time we see him in A New Hope he’ll be the type of guy who shoots first (yes, Han shot first) and asks questions later. But what would make him become that person? This movie is going to answer that main question and I can’t wait.
I hope this made you as excited as it made me and I thank you for reading. Have a beautiful day and May the Force be with you.
Since Ron Howard became the new director of the still-untitled Han Solo film he has been updating us Star Wars fans with all sorts of vague, but very interesting photos of the upcoming Han Solo movie. Here are the photos that I think are incredibly telling even if there isn’t really anything to see. Enjoy!
I love this photo simply because I love new mysterious locations in the world of Star Wars and this photo totally screams mysterious. There’s the fog, there’s a giant broken machine or something like that over on the right side. I can’t wait to see what this will be in the Han Solo movie.
